They do look nice and premium.
Have you used them in the rains ? If so, how does the leather hold up?
Water and leather aren't best friends.

I have no idea on how, but they have no problems at all in the rain, whether its the glue or smell or anything. Its gets a little slippery when wet though, but once you wipe off the water its back to normal.
I actually was gonna post a detailed review of these as its one of those hidden products which deserve a lot more attention. I'll get to it next week after my exams, if you'd like I could post some pics for you tomorrow

So I've decided to align the forks myself as the service center is useless. All they seem to want to do is kick the wheel. I've got a paddock and the right set of tools. I've been servicing the bike myself so this shouldn't be tough. Coming to the front wheel, does the axle nut need to be loosened too? And all this has to be done on the paddock right?
Can anybody give me a really quick tutorial or step by step method?

As far as I know, I pop the rear on the paddock, loosen the pinch bolts on the axle and triple T and the push the shocks up and down a few times. Then tighten them back to spec.right?

A small doubt though, I tried compressing the front shocks by pressing the tank, it doesn't budge. So I've got to press the middle of the handlebar. Is that fine?

So you want to tinker with something that's working normally
              Loosen the axle nut too.
And push with your hands on handlebar grips, no need to press tank or middle of the handlebar.
              Read page 105 here http://www.ktmshop.se/documents/759d...9f0b0b361c.pdf
i.e. first tighten the pinch bolts at the top (i.e.at the triple clamp and at top) then tighten axle nut fully and then after one final push, completely tighten the pinch bolts at the bottom of fork.
also a link to workshop manual in case you don't have it already:

In your case, I say you start by just loosening the axle bolt and bottom pinch bolts and do the steps as on pg 105. If you are loosening the pinch bolts on the triple clamp, then don't over loosen them..just crack them open very little(half to one turn max)

And it freaking worked! The bike feels perfect. Followed the procedure by looking at the handbook and Dellboy's tutorial online. I marked the bolts with a permanent marker in order to torque them up back to spec. There was a a twitch when I compressed the forks earlier and now its gone. Thanks for the help everyone

Can anyone tell the diameter of KTM Duke 390's handlebars. Looking to buy a phone mount that fits 0.9"-1.3" handlebars. Will it fit on the D390??

It's ~0.9 inch at the grip section, while the middle section is a little more than an inch ~1.02inch.
You can try to measure it using a string and a scale. wind the string around the handle bar and mark it.. then take a scale and measure out the string.

Exactly, what I got from only 1 link. In the manual also it's not mentioned. If I'm correct it's 22m to 26mm at the middle.

Also an update: Before 3rd servicing, the bike had really freed up. The engine had become really smooth and free revving like a Ninja (just comparing). But, after the 3rd servicing in Sept, in which everything was changed like air filter, oil filter, spark plug, etc the bike became very stiff and it felt like it was unable to breathe properly. Earlier, if at the same revv/ grip position, the bike would do a 70, now it was doing 50. I really suspected the problem to be a TIGHT CHAIN. Maybe the mechanic had tightened the chain a bit too much. I was thinking of loosening the chain myself within some days. Luckily, 2 days back I remembered that it was quite a while that I had put System-G in the bike. So, I put a cupful that day in the petrol pump before filling petrol. & to my surprise, the bike has become smooth & free-revving again now. It easily goes till 140-150kmph. Earlier, for the same grip rotation it'd touch a 115-120kmph.
I think fuel injector cleaners are a wonder product. I'm really surprised how much a clogged injector can affect the performance of a bike.[emoji15] [emoji15] [emoji16] [emoji16]

Such differences in speed at a particular rpm might indicate clutch slippage.
Anyway the next time try just regular fuel and check. There shouldn't be such a drastic change. Don't go by 'grip rotation', rather note the speed at a particular rpm in a particular gear. For e.g. check speed in 3rd gear @6000rpm
System G does make a difference (on the ktm, at-least to me and few others I know) but that is mostly in terms of a slight improvement in refinement and FE. I do use it on a regular basis.

The setup is very crude as I did not have time. Will make it more appealing soon. And Man the horn is crazy even with only the low tone, so much that even few buffaloes turned around in surprise.

A friend of mine changed his handlebar today and the screws highlighted in the picture were turning freely. Is that fine? I mean if we tried turning the screws with an allen key, it would start becoming tight and then loosen up and then tighten again and loosen up again. Click image for larger version
