I am thinking of getting this
Amazon.com: Helmetlok HelmetLok II Lock - Black Rubberized: Automotive

But read some reviews that the lock gets stuck sometimes and then it has to be cut open.

Same here. Did a 500 km ride on 390 and lo the orange wheel looked like a rotten orange. Full of oil stain from the chain. Shall I assume that a Motul lube will solve this? Ok, I went and did that Rs.400 plus something 'Extra Care' service, mainly to wash off the stain from the rim.

Btw I saw couple of brand new 390s badly mashed up at the service center Trivandrum. Both the bikes are from Kochi. One of the bikes was just fresh out of the showroom, I think. It had a 'for registration Popular Motors Kochi' tag on that. Good business going for the after sales guys.

Mate am arnd 6 and wear a big shoe... so say I'll be 6'1 when I ride. I have not had any issues so far as I keep reminding myself to keep my back straight. Hope I have helped a little for your query.

I am 6. The posture is not a problem. The only problem with longer rides is the rock hard seat.

Just got my first servicing done. Went to the Pune Wakdewadi service center. They only service KTM and Kawasaki bikes. I was a bit apprehensive after reading the servicing experiences at various SVCs but am happy to report that the svc was excellent.
All the steps were thoroughly followed. They only use and stock the recommended Motul oils. The service guys seemed very knowledgeable. Previously I also had a small chat with the owner who himself is passionate about biking.
The engine feels noticeably better after the service. Indeed the whole bike feels sharper. Highly recommended.

No problem till now, but the brake lever is set bit on higher side and will cause pain. I am not sure if it is adjustable (I think it is not). Over the long rides, you will feel cramps in the thighs. But that is jsut till the point you get comfortable with the bike. Initial days I had this issue but not any more.

Even Motul does spoil the rear rim. And almost all does. Of the lubes that I have used. Pidilite's Cyclo has been the cleanest. Tribocor, OKS, Motul spray good amount of lube on to rear tire.

Either you are using it in excess or using it wrong. While applying, just keep a paper behind the chain so that the excess lube won't be able to reach the rim. Once the lube dries after application, then, no chance of it spraying to other parts from the chain. I am talking about motul chain lube here.

And the paper idea was taken from junaid12345678.

I keep the big newspaper while applying the lube (Motul, Tribocor, OKS) and apply it inside the chain and not on the outside which usually people do. And is left to dry over the night.

It still happens. On other hand, Cyclo lube I apply and after 15mins I ride out to office, except couple of small spots of lube on rim, nothing there.

Tribocor is most messy followed by Motul and OKS.

EDIT: Its about mess caused while riding and not while sparying.

I believe the duke's console displays tank range (depending on many variables) so how accurate is it?

Exactly the kind of mess I was talking about. The chain sprays the lube while riding, right? Strange, It never happened with me till date, I have been using motul since long.

Everytime oks is applied by the svc guys it spoils my rim but motul never does that and I apply this lube on both sides of the chain.

If you spray a little motul on your palm you would find that it settles in a hard sticky paste very quickly. By the looks of it it should not make things messy and that is how good it works for me.

DTE - Distance to Emptry is directly proportional to the Mileage it shows. Lower the Mileage, lower the DTE is shown. It is accurate in its own technical sense but not in real time. So just go with assumption that after the Low Fuel warning comes, there is 3 lts of petrol in tanl.

I have been using Motul since my R15 days from 2008. It has been like that and it sprays the lube on to the RIM, later I found out Cyclo, from that time I am sticking to Cyclo. It is cleaner and has more life than Motul or others. Apart from that I found Motul to be ridiculously expensive.

Aditya, for long highway rides when you are cruzing at a given speed the tank range is almost accurate, but in city rides, where you are constantly shifting gears and RPM range and idling the kms count shown as range is highly inaccurate.
