Its raining very heavily here today, so I didn't ride after draining some fuel, there wasn't any water in the tank, even the carb leaked out pure petrol.
However, i did try to at-least start the bike at the parking space, but it didn't start.
Maybe I'll give it a shot again after the rain ends.Giving a lot to a fiero.
Expecting a lot from a fiero.

@All: This morning I came to office on my Fiero F2 for a change, and saw another similar black F2 guy standing beside me at the signal. I peeked at his odo-it said 60K. I asked him how is your bike doing-any engine work done etc.?
His answered pleasantly surprised me-he said that odo stopped working 3 yrs.back. Now my bike has done more than a lakh of kms.&the engine has never been opened yet!
I was like
, then
!
Anyway, my bike escaped a fall yesterday-I forgot to put the side stand&was getting down while I realized the bike is falling. Luckily there was a stone pillar which the dome hit, so the bike didn't fall. 4-5 scratches are better than something else broken-the bike is too old to fall!
One query-my front mudguard is cracked at 2-3 places, when it was opened up for the shocker repair work etc. Can anyone tell me how much it costs? If it is not too expensive I would like to replace it, else I will have to think of getting it done by the painter itself.
@NANOtechnology: I think your bike's starter coil has gone weak. Mine was rewound the other day&is working properly now. Some sockets were also replaced. I will test in rains&confirm when I get the chance, which is very soon, considering rainy season has already started.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Oh yes, Fiero engine is just awesome. My odo stopped 2 years ago at 52k and on a rough estimation, mine could be somewhere on 70-80k with one Engine Mod. 49k on stock.Originally posted by Sarvajit View Post@All: This morning I came to office on my Fiero F2 for a change, and saw another similar black F2 guy standing beside me at the signal. My bike and me could not escape a fall 2 weeks ago. Broken dome is the only damage she had, which ruins the Projector setup. I am still healing from my damages.
Contemplating a second bike. Visited the Pearl Yamaha showroom on Saturday. No bike to test ride and not too impressed with the folks there. The funniest line I can remember from the Service Engineer, "R15 is a System Bike, everything is a System. If maintained under 60kmph
, there will be no issues, else there could be some problems".

By the what is meant by 'system bike'? R15 is nowhere near performance mode at 60kmph!
I suggest you wait for the new R15-by the looks of it, its gonna be real aggressive.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Hope your injuries are minimal in comparison to your girl'sOriginally posted by MaSh View PostOh yes, Fiero engine is just awesome. My odo stopped 2 years ago at 52k and on a rough estimation, mine could be somewhere on 70-80k with one Engine Mod. 49k on stock.

Yeah the fiero engine is a well engineered one,the term is over-engineered i guess and with a lot of potential to mod it built-in.Take the RTR's for ex and i wouldn't be surprised if TVS comes out with a 200cc variant in the near future as well.Originally posted by Sarvajit View Post@All: This morning I came to office on my Fiero F2 for a change, and saw another similar black F2 guy standing beside me at the signal. Regarding the mud guard, try going for a bajaj CT100 one,it'll fit and should be cheap as well.Life begins, once you hit the power band !!

@Gixer: Hmm nope, my injuries were not as minor, took almost 2 weeks, out of which I was on immobile for 1 full week.
Oh I missed the next peace of news he gave. When I inquired about the new R15, he said, that its R125. Made on the same platform as R15 and he did mention the broader rear tire and high tale.
I am getting interested in the CBR250.
Coming back to Fiero. My dome is broke and I wish to put a good quality round headlight. Any ideas which is the most suitable one?

Ya dude, even in my case, i have not yet opened up the engine even after 90000kms..!!! its very surprising...!!! as gixxie mentioned, its an OVER-ENGINEERED bike. it still manages to cross 100kmph, but the overall avg has reduced. now in mixed riding conditions it manages a little over 50! But performance is still top notch!!! No compromises here..!!
everyone in this community have tried different makes of engine oil, but i, even after 8 yrs, am still using the TVS recommended oils... so when i am getting good performance from this oil, i guess i dont wanna switch to other type of oils (gulf, motul etc etc..)

Remove the tank scoops,my bike's also rattles like crazy. After some time you'll get used to the looks.Originally posted by tintin708 View Postthe only complain from this bike, in my case, is the over use of fibre parts... they start rattling and emits a very annoying noise, which is irritating, eg the fibre above the tail lamp and the tank fibre panels...
Good to hear that your girl's still in good shape even after performing for 90k kms.
Here ,there's a fiero which last time i'd inquired about ,had already done 1,25,000kms on the stock bore with only 1 clutch plate set change. They keep asking me whether i am interested in selling my bike ,whenever i am there.

This would be better than the complete units of Star city, Old Pulsar, Yamaha Crux, etc?Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View PostPulsar back with Ambassador clear lens seal-beam !
I was on Castrol for a very long time, but now have moved to Tru 4. Find it better and smoother. But cannot prolong the change by too much. Once the oil starts falling apart, it's a land slide and have to replace the oil immediately.Originally posted by tintin708 View Posteveryone in this community have tried different makes of engine oil, but i, even after 8 yrs, am still using the TVS recommended oils... so when i am getting good performance from this oil, i guess i dont wanna switch to other type of oils (gulf, motul etc etc..)
I do have couple of cracks on the rear panel, but no vibrations or noise. The only thing that rattles is the non working speedo console.Originally posted by tintin708 View Postthe only complain from this bike, in my case, is the over use of fibre parts... they start rattling and emits a very annoying noise, which is irritating, eg the fibre above the tail lamp and the tank fibre panels...

Was at the HONDA dealership today to check out the CBR,it actually looks better in flesh. There was a Veefer too alongside it,the 250 looks like a kid in front of it
The on road price is 1.67 lakhs here, the bike looks it's worth the money though.
