Hmm..Maybe..

All I'm looking at & concerned, is the foot pegs & the seat. Rest I dont know about. I do intend to put in a shorter handlebars. At the end of the day, for me, its about which handlebar would suit me, as I believe everyone has a different riding style. I wouldnt go for a very short handle bar, rather would look which one is more comfortable for me to ride.

Maybe that rider wanted to go for a hybrid, off-track/on-track bike?

After riding the bike for a few days, I can say that the pathetic 210 buck clutch plates plus other clutch parts have brought the pickup back. Hopefully it will stay this way for another 5K kms.

However, the following problems are persisting:
1. It starts up at 1500RPM as soon as I kick, then comes back to 1000RPM. This is when the engine is cold. It shuts down unless I keep the acceleration up.
After riding for a km. or two, it fluctuates between 1200&1500RPM.

2. When I am upshifting, the throttle gets blipped by itself i.e., I leave the accelerator and upshift, but the engine RPM shoots up by about 1000RPM by the time the higher gear is engaged.

3. The engine does not stall without acceleration in 2nd or 3rd gear. Without the clutch engaged and no acceleration, the speed comes down then a jerk is felt from the engine, the RPM shoots up and the bike moves forward.

This happens in any gear while cruising without acceleration.
Is this a clutch issue or what?

Long time Guys..

Hope all are doing fine, Just came to visit Gixxer & found out he has got RTR 180 bore kit along with head & bike is doing pretty well.

couldn't test the full potential since it is in runing stage but I am sure it will be worth it.

As for me, my stock beauty has no complaints & doing its job without a hitch.

Your AFR seems to be very lean from what you have said causing lean surges....Gixxer will be able to give the correct tune up method...

@Sarvajit

As psr has mentioned,your bike is running lean.All indications are that of a carb setting being on the leaner side.Like i told you before,get it tuned on a co machine.

@Abhi

Let's head out to get that treat you mentioned about.

The oil cooler which had been rightly fitted since over a year now and the current state of the bike.No it's not add for GKB opticals ,the images indeed are blurry and poor in quality. Sorry for that. The oil cooler connections are given to the provisions designed into the engine by the engine designers at the design stage itself.So the oil lines are stock.

Thanks psr. The actual credit should go to Mr Krishnamurthy of formerly ZEN TVS,he was the one who told me about these provisions present in the fiero engine. He wanted to fit the oil cooler to the V-twin fiero designed and fabricated by Mr Venugopal and Mr Srinivas,but due to circumstances which lead to the closure of ZEN TVS,he wasn't able to,currently the V-twin is at mech Rajesh's garage.Click image for larger version

I have the Picture of the V Twin Fiero, and I see it often...It still makes me wonder how brilliant Mr.Venugopal & Mr Srinivas must have been to not only conceive, but also put together a V Twin within the same frame of stock Fiero....I would have loved to work under them...

@PSR

As you know,when the v-twin was done,there were no bikes running on our roads with oil-coolers.So they had thought of installing a piaggio oil cooler to the v-twin back then.The v-twin still has the stock fiero oil-pump and the oil pressure is more than good enough for it and they didn't even upgrade it with the bigger capacity oil pump of the RTR180 when it came either.The oil-cooler actually isn't needed at all,because as mentioned before even the supercharged fiero was good enough to run without the need for one.I just did this mod for modification's sake. So others need not think that this mod is needed along with big-bore modifications.

Very true,they shun all publicity unlike other tuners we know of and they are genuine tech minded people.Mr Venugopal and Mr Srinivas actually asked me as to why i am going for this oil-cooler mod ,when there's no need for one. You should interact with them,they are quite brilliant and humble as well.

gixxer - Bro, the oil cooler looks factory fitted. Now I'm wondering from which dealer you got the bike? ;P The plumbing is so neat that it looks like it was made for Fieros in mind. Very cool (pun intended). So, these pix are with the new bore I'm guessing?
