Awesome, you have a bigger monster.

Which bike's piston does your bike have?i think it's a classic cbz one ,right? If so,then it has a bore of 63.5mm.From the looks of the pic in your avatar,it looks like a RTR bore, correct me if i am wrong. Then it has a 62mm bore(if your modification was done before the 180 came)

I don't have the work in progress pics when i was getting the mod done.
However i can click a pic now from the outside, but it won't serve the purpose as it looks normal from the outside.

That day, I rushed to the used parts market, picket up a sole rtr's exhaust i found and returned, in 10 mins, got the collar made and it was all set.
Just find a great lathe guy like i did.

A new exhaust should cost you roughly 3k.

I remember that you once told me that your bike has been put up with rtr 160's components.
Which piston do you have ?
Giving a lot to a fiero.
Expecting a lot from a fiero.

Its a complete RTR160 Stock kit, with some minor works inside. This was done in the first half of 2009. I just gave Joel, my riding requirements and he came up with the configuration. I did not even ask him the internal details.

Yes, that what I would be doing tomorrow in Hyderabad. Wish we had something like JC Road or Junk yard there are in Bangalore.

Yes, that's correct about the configuration. Not sure about the internals, just that I have to fill high octane fuel only, so that should give you a hint.

That means the bore is 62mm.Maybe he's increased the compression in comparison to a stock RTR piston and that might be the need for higher octane stuff.

Try and find a used RTR180 exhaust. If you can't find one, then you would have no alternatives but to go for a new one.Even here RTR180 heads are hard to come by in the used markets,as it's relatively a newer model in comparison to 160.I'm sure it will be the case with the exhaust too.

            • For Fiero/F2/FX/A150 the modifications will yield:-

              62mm bore= 175cc.(RTR160 bore kit)
              62.5mm bore =177cc (RTR180 bore kit)
              63.5mm bore = 183cc (CBZ classic piston)
              65.5mm bore = 195cc (ZMA piston)
              67mm bore = 204cc (P220 piston)

              • Guyz i have found out the why the thudding noise comes out..... the fault is in the chain guard itself. the screw near the rear sprocket of the bottom guard came off, hence this noise. i have also noticed that the dia of the hole of the guard where the nut fits has increased!!!! how could this be possible?? now i dont think any screw would fit bach again due to this dia increase...even if some metal washers are put alongwith the screw!

This is my second chainguard! the first one was replaced due to this very same reason. so would there be any problem if i remove the bottom of the chainguard??

The simple solution would be to just take it to the welding shop and get a metal plate welded at the place with the stock width hole.

Chain sprocket life will come down.

Yes, have been hunting for almost a month. Not getting the Exhaust or the Shocks. Will try the CBZ Extreme ones. They are non Gas ones and I guess a little longer too. Not very suitable. The current ones are lousy TVS Star City ones. Too soft.

Give me time for confirmation.Otherwise ,since you get your bike serviced at the authorized dealer, you can ask them to check whether the sprockets match.I mean to check whether the GB sprockets have the same output shaft fitting and whether the rear sprocket also matches the bolt slots. You can't fit the maintenance free chain to our sprockets i think as the pitch and width may vary.
