Guys,
My fiero is back after the intial run in after reboring. It is a 2001 model and has run 90000kms.
Bike is good now however i have a few niggles which should be sorted out:
1.Front end is feelingver light.I guess forks needs to be changed. How much will it cost and is it available?
Any other alternatives to make it somewhat heavy or balanced?
2.Suspension is quite hard.I bought a new gabriel shocks last year but its not soft at all.
If i keep it in full soft settings,Then with a pillion of around 70kgs,it almost tends to throw them whenever i go over a bump.
I have given my bike to few mechanics here in chennai but none of them are good in taking care of fiero. Please help.

A> Light front-end
1. Don't go around changing forks.
Change the fork springs and the oil.
2. Change the handle to that of YAMAHA FZ ,it costs about 200+ and it's a direct fit.Nanotech has it on his girl.
B> Hard Suspensions are a good thing and Gabriel products are good.So stick with it.Life begins, once you hit the power band !!

My alternator's belt has been deteriorated to the core.
I realized this when i was topping up my oil.
Got my belt changed to a new one, and planning a small ride tomorrow to see how good and well my bike is doing.
Talking about oils, as per the recommendation of abhi, gix and PSR, i topped up my bike with Gulf Pride 4T plus 20w40.
Now the bad part is i used almost 850 ~ 900 ml of oil just to make it reach to the upper level of the dip stick (old oil wasn't drained).
As i told you guys earlier that my bike was drinking oil, i got almost all of my gaskets changed, even got the oil seal of the GB sprocket changed.
Still my bike has either drained or drank almost 900 ml of oil in say 1000 kms of running ????
This worries me a bit, even after changing the sprocket oil seal i can still see drops of oil if i park my bike on the side stand...
This is an issue, i don't know what to do about it.
any recommendations ???Giving a lot to a fiero.
Expecting a lot from a fiero.

An update.. this is the 2nd time I am running on Gulf pride 4t Plus 20w40 oil & this time around it has run 3200kms with a long ride in peak summer of 1200kms & yet oil is going good.
I suggest this oil for everyoneBy making her run super-lean.So,if even then the engine is sounding refined after sustained torture from you, then the oil must be GOOD.

Now,first check the spark plug and put a very close-up pic of the plug.If the oil's not entering the combustion chamber, then you can pretty much be sure it's from the oil seal leakage.Life begins, once you hit the power band !!

900 ml top up means you had run practically without oilhope your engine is ok .
Keep an eye on oil level every 300 Kms...When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

I see drops of oil on the floor for like first 15 days on newly filled oil.
Then it stops.
If i remove the previous oil, there's hardly 50 ml left in it everytime, it always comes out like tar.
If you guys remember I've put up previous pics of my bike leaking oil from everywhere.
I did get ALL the gaskets changed + got the oil seal replaced too.
Still i can see drops of oil if the bike is parked at side stand.
The oil sometimes follows the stand surface and sometimes doesn't.
Today i rode my bike for almost 280 kms.
All of these were heavy and light rain combo not a single dry moment.
My bike was running super good.
The new oil is indeed amazing.
My previous oil which I've been using from a long time was ELF 20w40
The new one i topped up with is Gulf 20w40.
I don't think oil would be entering the chamber, lets hope not.
I'll upload the pic tomorrow.
Another thing i'd like to mention, my bike is being leaking oil from as long as I've started riding.
I did get all the things sorted, all the gaskets changed and so on, whatever i know of, still the leakage hasn't reduced.
The only escape from this for me was to put up new oil every 1500 kms replacing the old one.
As this time i haven't ridden much 500 kms in 2 months, so its not to do with the running, i assume its to do with the leakage only.
Still a pic will make things clear.Giving a lot to a fiero.

Just 50ml oil, tarry and that too every time?!!Bro,that's a scary scenario. But you are used to it.I have to say that your bike's been running on pure luck till now.
Keep checking the oil level regularly,it's a wonder that the crank/engine etc have been able to run like that for this long.Life begins, once you hit the power band !!

I've replaced every gasket, every o-ring and the oil seal too.
Only the kicker's oil seal, and gear shifter's oil seal is remaining, however there's no trace of oil near it...
That's what i've been doing.
i am getting the oil replaced every 1500 kms, this time i did it in just say 800 kms.
This is the only precaution i am taking, by filling it much earlier than necessary, still there's hardly remaining in there.Giving a lot to a fiero.
