reagarding the round headlamp setup, it will definetly look kool!! i have seen some fieros with this setup!!
I have it, cos I find it easier to ride the bike with it. The Apache150 sprocket is much larger in diameter than the Classic Fiero one. Hence, the power delivery is much smoother and linear.

I had thought of that too a long time back, fitting a extra cog,but was told that there's no space. So the other option is to put a 5th gear of some other bike in place of our 4th gear. But i won't be doing any such things, till the GB needs opening up.
ok.. and gixxie, i was planning to change the headlamps for the round ones. so what would be the overall cost of this job?

Why are you so worried about whether it'll fit or not? Take my word for it,it really is no big deal.If i remember correctly both the RTR's have the same size exhaust valve,so that means the exhaust will fit and in all probability there wont be any difference.

Making any header pipe fit the head is a minimal welding work.Trust me Bprags has a bigger dia header pipe on his bike which has a RTR head. That is his header pipe is bigger than any stock RTR pipe and that is on my agenda. The reason i am hesitating from fitting a wider dia header pipe is because of it's affect on performance.

Accha??? so is it a direct fit, or needs some modification? will the larger dia rear sprocket fit inside the chain guard?

Good thing, nothing's more sexier than a round head light Mash got it done recently and he paid 450 bucks for it.But if you go back a few pages you'll see a post from shreeni on the same and he's suggesting a combo of classic pulsar doom with ambassador car's reflector as being perfect.

Ya that would definitely look hot!! i had asked my mech, and he said he would do the job, but i forgot the cost!! i think any round headlamp from any bike would do the job rite??

Another option would be the fiero FX one it's a bit wider than that of the classic pulsar.Yes any round headlight can be fitted.

The dia of RTR 180 Exhaust is bigger than RTR160.The mounting flange is also bigger.

So you checked it from the service manual?

Then it needs a collar to be made, which is half an hours work at the welding shop.Or the existing collar can be cut and welded to the 180 exhaust which will be even more easier.

You can buy a used rtr 180's exhaust, get the resonator removed and cut the exhaust tip which goes into the head, now you can get a new tip made (which would be perfect fit) like i did.

But since you are already using joel's FFE, why do you need to do that ??
Giving a lot to a fiero.
Expecting a lot from a fiero.

Yes the mounting collar and exhaust pipe both are larger in RTR 180 compared to RTR160.

There is no point fitting a wider exhaust on stock engine. Mine is not stock. Moreover, this is more so for muting it a bit. There would be some performance loss too, but then this exhaust is for the City only.

Well, the Chain length is longer too. I have a Apache 150 Swing Arm which is longer than the Fiero's.

Thats exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you.

Yes thats the idea, hence the search for an OLD one, if not, don't mind cutting up a new one. Could you post a pic of your exhaust mod?

Well, nothing can be as good as Joel's FFE, but its significantly louder than stock. I intend to keep swapping between the two. RTR exhaust for the City and FFE for the highway. Since the calculated CC as told by Joel is about 187CC, I am looking for a RTR 180 exhaust. I guess thats rated at somewhere around 177cc.

Mine is not stock either, it's a 195cc engine and i've made the stock silencer free flowing.Fiero already has a megaphonic silencer which is far more effiecient than a exhaust.
