They sure don't nowadays almost all of em are getting influenced by size zero crap and getting stunted in their growth period and end up becoming nothing more than lunas and mofas. So,watching well developed chassis these days is still as rare as any.She had such heavenly chassis which deserve nothing less than hard revving! Well ,it's likely that after riding a SBK's for hire here ,to end up bed-ridden as most of them will be bug-ridden . So there won't be peace of mind even after riding em with helmet and full riding gear!

All carbon was gently scraped off with a soft rag moistened with petrol and no other solvent. No carbon deposits feel into the bore as it was at TDC as per the pix n I was helping personally
Hope to get valve setting job done when time permits. What's your take on that? Appreciate any feedback (like the broken ring tip) Very cool idea!

      • [QUOTE=gixxer_junkie_m;775088]Nice quality pictures and you're getting into the spirit of the fiero thread, judging by the write-up
The thing i've noticed is that your bike/girl seems to have been drinking (oil) and her cylinder has worn out a bit and she might need re-boring soon.

Yep! U got a well-trained eye on you, bro. There is approx 100~150ml oil loss noticeable whenever I change oil. And you have hit the nail on the head. I noticed it from the state of my plug too.
However, for now, I will have to get the funds for it and then go in for the job.

Thanks bro.No need to hurry,as long as the valve-train's ok and the oil level's not dropping drastically. In pulsars it's considered as normal.

Tell us more about your bike Nothing's impossible all you need is guys like
                  Mr Venugopal.

                  @All

Had a close shave last night.I was returning home at about 10:15 pm and on the main road i got a real nasty reality check of the state of our roads.
My bike hit a 10/10/20 inch block of granite lying right slam bang in the middle of the road! The sumo ahead of me went right over the block as he navigated it right in between the wheels and i had no time to react. It was pure reflex action which made me swerve to avoid riding right over it.I mean, i was following the sumo at some distance and suddenly from underneath i saw the block of granite and i hit it at about 55 kmph.I had no time to react as the sumo ahead made it impossible to have seen it any earlier than i did and it was pure luck which made me hit it more towards the edge instead of slam bang in the middle of it.The stone hit the bike's center stand's left hand side part and the bike developed a serious tank-slapper. Then, thanks mainly to heavens above/my favorite Goddess i managed to wrestle the bike without taking a fall in about 30 feet of weaving ride on the road.In the process i ended up right on the opposite lane and thank god the vehicles coming managed to avoid hitting me.
I had to wrestle the bike and the low,up-side-down put bullet's handle gave me enough control to get the bike out of the tank slapper .If it had been a stock handle without the rear-sets ,god knows what would have been the damage. The reflexes ensured that i managed to swerve sharply(thanks to low handle bars again) enough to ensure the front wheel missed the block and i also didn't slam the brakes which would have made it worse when hitting the block i think and i got no indication from the sumo ahead in terms of brake light etc.He didn't brake at all i guess. The sound of hitting the stone was so loud that a friend riding much ahead of me told me that he assumed i had hit the activa which was ahead of me and to my left on the road.

I have got done CO tuning today & this is the last resort to find out if it is really tuning or is it my riding habit for the mileage I am getting 35kms..

Don't know what could possibly be the reason ? With 100/90-18 & that too on a big rim I used to get 45-46kmpl in City & all of a sudden it has dropped to 35kmpl that too with 3.00x18 tyre..

I will update in some days here what would be the result of CO tuning..
Done with testing with 200rs of petrol & Sadly the mileage has remained same

I will go out on a highway & check if it still the same to nail the culprit as roads I take to office, or I am myself the culprit for the low mileage

You are really lucky to have come out with both bike and you in one piece...Never follow big sumo rear ends . If you aim for the center you will end up in a stretcher....you had been very lucky. hope your box is ok

                            • @ gix

Good to hear that you came out of it well.
It reminds me of a similar thing that happened to me way back, but unluckily it was a burst front tire in my case as a my bike went over a sharp stone.

It was scary with the bike wobbling coz of a blown front tyre at speeds around 80 and i was more lucky then you to come out of it as it was a stock handlebar.

I think its safest to wear a racing suit for riding on our roads.
but seriously, its great to hear that your well.

Any damage to the bike ?
Giving a lot to a fiero.
Expecting a lot from a fiero.

Happy things are in place and in good shape......in Chennai in by roads the PWD morons sometimes leave the manhole covers open and a few scooters have gone down with totalled front end..a few people have also had bad bruises due to this.....the worst ones are the manhole covers which turn on it's axis when someone steps on the edge..and their box is put out of action.
