The rtr starter relay only works on neutral.
I have it installed, and it doesn't fire if the bike is in gear, of course with the clutch held too.
The problem with the clutch sensor thing is that it won't fire until and unless the clutch is held, even if the bike is in neutral.
This one's installed on the GS 150R by the way...Giving a lot to a fiero.
Expecting a lot from a fiero.

To improve the handling further,try yamaha Gladiator's handle.It'll bring the weight bias towards the front,thus improving road grip.With the small 16 inch rim at rear the weight bias would have been ruined,with the front getting even more lighter than stock,because as it is fiero has a short wheelbase.Originally posted by 2strokerama View PostYeah, first thing i wanted to do was to set the handling of the bike right and work upwards from there.
Yup...been following this thread for a while.....your 200cc setup's details, nanotechnology's alternator mod, the threads about the turbocharged fiero and the vtwin fiero, the tid bits about SBKs, et al.
I had a look inside the gs150r's clutch case today. The layout, though looking ulta to the fiero, seemed to be similar to the fiero's, when compared with the pic you had posted. So, maybe its true that this ones also built to take an oil cooler and more. I cant tell for sure with my threadbare technical knowledge, which Im slowly building through watching threads like these among others.

About the SBK's of the two legged kind,the conversations usually head in that direction once we start with the bike's performance mods

Yes,knowing suzuki,i'm sure they've left a provision or two with the GS as well.But,unlike GS if you see the oil lines to the head are externally routed,so that means the oil-cooler addition was easy.The best way to do it would be to give the oil-cooler output line to the oil filter.Don't go around doing such things with the GS though.

Fouled another plug this morning...
This means that after a re-bore,new piston, new rings, new cam, new valves, new rockers and yet another new set of valve oil seals the damm thing is still drinking oil


My mech says that he didn't replace my previous spark plug after getting all these things done, so it might be breathing its last...
As per his suggestion, I went for another plug too, and lets see what happens.
But I think it won't help, its a Deja-vu

Well, lets wait and watch, either ways I'll know it pretty soon as the plug won't last more than 90~100 kms if its still drinking oil.
The bike seems very smooth otherwise, and all those knocking that i used to have at low rpms have disappeared, haven't ridden over 3.5k yet as its still under run-in.
But I hope that this would be the end of all my problems...Giving a lot to a fiero.
Expecting a lot from a fiero.

Will make a note of the gladiator handle. Well, Im a big fan of wide body kits too.
Yeah, I wont be experimenting on the GS for now. Our fiero on the other hand, might serve as the guinea pig for trying anything, considering there's such an excellent knowledge base in this thread.

BTW, today i went for a practice session against some expert riders in my fiero.. A continuous 40 lap(1.3km per lap) took a hard beating on me and my fiero.. The engine oil pump tube that connects to the head started leaking oil.. The thread in the head has gone.. Here are some pics..



I'm motionless.. My muscles need atleast 2 days rest.. the dirt ground had a lot of ruts..

Looking at the oil leak all over the place reminds me of the good old days, take good rest and relax yourself as well as your ride for upcoming events.
Do post in pictures of actual race where we can see you on the bike leading the pack...Giving a lot to a fiero.
