    You haven't answered my question about SBK.. My curiousity is killing me!!
    If the valve guide is shortened, then the possibility of a valve wobble is high and that would seriously damage the oil seals causing trouble.. In second thought, i must concentrate more on improving my riding skills than improving my bike's performance..

      There's no riddle in what i said about sbk buddy,so don't rake your brains about it.Bro,it's been done from a long time and my bike's been running like that since the 200cc upgrade,that too with a 14t gb set up and 15t gb sprocket set-up.Which due to lessening in pull,as you know might make the engine to be lugged in gears,when riding within city,which once again can cause valve issues.Fiero engine head design can take these mods in it's stride.Why else do you think this engine is popular and respected by racing folks.If anyone wants that extra bit from the engine,then surely it can be done.

        No one's trying to take the mickey out of anyone here and it's never been done on this thread either.So relax and stop seeing things which aren't there.This is a casual thread and we are all friends here.If you now make us to start thinking and checking multiple times ,the nuances about every word of the sentences of our posts,then i'm afraid this thread will loose it's casualness and ease.Thus making it not worth our while.I hope you understand.

              can anyone confirm me whether classic suzuki fiero's CDI and classic TVS fiero CDI are same?

              if possible post pictures of both.

              since the bike what i have recently purchased dosent have CDI surprised me. it has one small cdi with K symbol like kinitic. iam on process of prucuring a new one.

                Hi guys..
                Posting in this thread after a long time as I have been busy with my exams.
                I had posted long back about the carb issue..
                I have had few problems from few days...

                1] Starting problem when i dont use her for couple of days.

                2] Unusual hiccups every time i take her out..It feels like there is no petrol in the carb and she stops coughing like a patient... I have to start kicking again for couple of times before she comes back to life.

                3] She gets heated badly even for a small ride of 2-3kms(am using Motul 30004t plus which is around 500kms old)
                Me and my bro got our legs burnt because of the silencer getting SUPERHOT.


                Can some one tell me where exactly is ZEN shakti motors?

                  AFAIK, both of them have the same cdi unit.. Its a japan make of Kokusan Denki brand.. The fiero cdi unit is comparatively big.. Its connector end will be spongy..

                      Hey,

                      Clean out the carb and the fuel sediment bowl, reset plug gap, bench your battery, check your airbox and the foam elements.
                      Try Motul 300V 20W40. I'm guessing you're using Motul 3000 15W50???

                        Passed an F2 the other day on the street and I could see a small amount of black/grey smoke from the exhaust while idling
                        I have seen white smoke when oil seals or piston rings have gotten old, but what does blackish grey smoke indicate?

                        Anybody can share some info regarding this?

                          rich air fuel mixture/defective spark plug/ Running in choke/clogged air filter, etc...
                          The basic thing is that fuel is not completely burnt out from the combustion chamber causing unburnt/ partially burnt fuel to exit from the engine.. Loss of power, loss of mileage, heavy carbon deposits are the side effects...

                                Ah! I see. That makes sense. Thanks for the info, man.
                                Usually Fieros are tuned to be lean from the Co. So I was kinda taken aback to see that bike spewing out blackish gray smoke.
                                Seen a quite a few p**sars with the grayish white smoke so knew about worn out piston rings till now.
