My fiero refused to start (after a loud thud noise) a few days back. Jump starting the bike failed and there was no spark generated from the ignition unit. I took the bike to a local workshop nearby and as per the mechanics diagnosis, ignition coil needs to be changed. His is planning to get it from gujri in commercial street. What do you guys recommend? Thanks

The TCI unit along with the ignition coil should be in the range of 1200 bucks.Life begins, once you hit the power band !!

Bro,you can use either, provided you put the stock jets and needle of your FX.

Found out that there's a provision for the oil-cooler outlet which takes the oil back to the sump.So after a few banjo bolts work done at the lathe, today the bike's got the oil-cooler outlet right where it was designed to go.We had earlier seen this bolt/provision in the crankcase, but we were waiting for the confirmation and now it's done.So the cooled oil now goes to the sump ,thus keeping the oil circuit stock. The other thing is that the oil-pressure's good too, which we had found out back then itself.
Another good news is that the RTR clutch assembly can be installed on the fiero and it would need the installation of RTR's clutch cover.Saw the same modification done on a fiero with a RTR head and bore set-up(180 cc). This is the next thing on my agenda, as soon as the clutch plates wear out.Life begins, once you hit the power band !!

Another thing, the clutch mod will keep the stock clutch helical gear.Last edited by gixxer_junkie_m; 09-16-2012, 09:40 PM.Life begins, once you hit the power band !!

Hey guyz, whats up!!!
Anyways i am having a slight problem with my F2... the problem is that while cruising on the highways, say at speeds between 50-60kmph, and when i want to overtake by twisting the accelerator, the bike doesnt surge ahead. i mean, it feels as if its lacking power, or its like the engine is about to shut off!! so to avoid this, i have to de-accelerate by getting the accerelator back to its normal position, and then it works fine. what could be the problem?
And also just a few days back, i noticed some drops of petrol (i guess so) dripping from the carb outlet pipe (the overflow one) when the bike is put in side stand, with the engine turned off and the petrol cork in ON/RESERVE position (that time it was in ON). Why is it so? is it petrol overflowing, because i had ridden the bike for 1-2kms before switching it off.
Thanks....
