Me and Abhilashabhi had gone on a hunt to find a tachometer for my bike and a speedo for abhi's bike.I found a Pricol tacho with 12k RPM and today got it installed along with amaron maintenance free battery. Some modifications were done by the mech to make a clamp,as well as the wiring,so that the tach can be fitted onto the handle. He has done a decent enough a job.Abhi is planning to get a full classic pulsar speedo+tacho unit for his ride.Life begins, once you hit the power band !!

Dude,i'll be going to TVS AS once again next week as i need a couple of clutch cam bearings of RTR,i'll once again enquire about your part list and particularly the 2nd gear of F2.

Coming to your tacho its a job well done. Now that tacho is there we know what the engine is working at and makes life easier and guage performance increase every time we come up with some or other things. So diwali holiday spent all well [emoji2]Last edited by gixxer_junkie_m; 11-14-2015, 06:41 PM.Life begins, once you hit the power band !!

Pics are blurry. Tacho gels well with bike and speedo too there's no doubt about it. It was wonderful to see revs rising and you have been shifting gears at 5 to 6k revs owing to taller gearing. Even the sound of the bike didn't used to feel like thatsigpicAll India Permit 1+1

Gixxer ...the Tacho looks good and set properly.. Now that you know the RPM at which you shift, you will be in a better position to know if there is any clutch slip . An analogue face Tach and Speedo is much more easier to read and makes sense than a digital one...one of the things I like with my Karizma.
Since you already have the RTR clutch assembly, you will be having better pull and easy clutch parts replacement .
Thanks for the updates ..When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

I got the whole silencer chromed as i had told you about earlier.I had painted the bend-pipe with heat resistant silver paint, which i had gotten from a auto paint shop. That paint was rated for 200 deg centigrade. Since the earlier spray paint had held up quite well for over 6 months,i had thought this heat resistant paint would hold too.But it didn't and peeled immediately. You can make out the same paint on lower part of the clutch cover and i painted the engine's air cooling fins with the same color too.Just the edges that is. Engine heat is less in comparison to bend-pipe i guess, because as you can see the paint has stayed there. The chrome plating was done by a shop which specializes in two wheeler chroming and they have done a good job.The chrome plating hasn't discoloured either, like turning blue near the head etc.The chrome plating of the entire silencer cost me 1000 bucks, but it is a very well done job.
Coming to the RTR clutch cover, you can see that it's a used one.I had bought a new clutch cover and fitted it as well when the rtr clutch modification work was done. But the problems was that new clutch covers don't seem to come with common clutch cam bearing bushes. As the mech had fitted the clutch cam without these bearings, the oil seal of the clutch cam developed play over time.So when i went looking for the bearing bushes, they weren't available in tvs showrooms and i am still to get em even after months! Luckily i had bought a used clutch cover of the RTR when the clutch modification work was taken up and this used clutch cover has those bearing bushes. So i fitted this clutch cover. Now including this,i have 3 clutch covers with me! Even the original suzuki fiero clutch cover can be fitted with this rtr clutch mod,but it will need a new milled type clutch release button.
