Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
i dont think so.....the warranty applies specifically.....i fitted bosch car horn....and my battery gone due to wrong wiring...but the serve center guys replaced with new one under warranty..i think that guy is more generous. but when i enquired about the warranty policies...he explained me that it will apply specifically. but he also informed me that the 5 year warranty will apply only for engine and gearbox....if we look in detail.Originally posted by abhi7013 View PostLast edited by dineshaugustin; 07-22-2014, 11:06 PM.

changing to higher wattage bulb will it also void the warranty??Originally posted by abhi7013 View PostChanging to projectors will not just void the battery warranty but also the bike's. Now that they have a 5 year warranty period, the staff would be happy to cling on to any kind of changes you do to your bike in order to claim your warranty as void. I don't think it is worth.

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
The ASC will look for any mods to void the warranty.. But how will they know which bulb you used? you can always replace the bulb to stock bulb when claiming warranty.. thats a matter of 10 minutes job.. if you go for projectors, do you think it will be a 10 minute job to revert back to stock headlights? isn't that a time consuming affair?? not in my dictionaryOriginally posted by Prateekjayant View Postchanging to higher wattage bulb will it also void the warranty??
so use the 55W bulb and if you have to claim warranty, remove it and install the 35W bulb then claim it..

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
the asc adviser told me never to have my bike repaired anywhere else other than the asc ,he said there are very delicate parts in this bike especially the fuel pump he said costs 14000-15000rs,instead he gave me a number for emergency and said if the bike breaks anywhere in Delhi ,just call this number and we will send help and your bike will be brought to the asc and repaired by experienced technician,do you think it is a risky affair to have this bike repaired by any mechanic other than asc or are they just trying to outsmart me just by saying that this bike can only be repaired in asc,plz help i am new to owning a fuel injected bike so i am not sure about this..Originally posted by rreneav1987 View PostThe ASC will look for any mods to void the warranty.. Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
^^ yes...I did see those pictures and was searching for the charger underneath. For a moment I was not ready to believe that a premium offering from Hero does not have a important fitment (in these days)! Therefore I rechecked by asking on this thread. My bad! The new model arrived last week in Jamshedpur - I am yet to find some time to check out the bike in flesh.

Though I understand your context but to defend HMC, even Suzuki's Hayabusa/Yamaha's R1/BMW's S1000RR/Kawi's ZZR don't have one!Originally posted by BloggingWheels View Post^^ yes...I did see those pictures and was searching for the charger underneath. Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
Have fixed one for a couple of bucks on the D100, Instead of opting for a cigarette lighter you can get a female socket with direct connection from battery and then use the the charger available from Roots its around 100~200 it has a variety of pins for different phones as well.Originally posted by BloggingWheels View Post^^ yes...I did see those pictures and was searching for the charger underneath. Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
Haha! Guys, at least the last 3 of us (who have replied on the thread) and people who have 'liked' our comments are the ones who will swear by Hero products anyday! A charger is never a std accessory as such. But just because they were giving it on their new Xtreme - hence the enquiry! Heck man, I will go with Hero any day, charger or no charger. Logically too, can you actually reject a good bike just because of the frills it is giving the customers? At least we have gathered enough experience and clocked enough kilometres to distillate the good from the 'goodies'!
Divya bhai - If those performance bikes start giving such stuff, it'll surely mean that they are concentrating on frills rather than the thrills they are so famous for.
