  • Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155

I am posting something here after a very long time. Unsatisfied with the service provided by my current service centre, I am planning to change my service centre to O.M.S Suzuki, Madipakkam, Chennai for my next service. I'll be taking my bike in a day or two after the pooja holidays get over.

Anyone who goes there kindly share your experiences of servicing at O.M.S Suzuki. My main worry is the transparency of Suzuki service centres and hassles post the service. Nobody likes to follow them continuously and monitor them for a damned free service. Moreover they're only good at stickering their service centre stickers on the bike instead of doing what the customers ask for. I hope O.M.S Suzuki do not indulge in something that's only good for their marketing.

    Cheers.

With respect to my previous post, I would like to share my experiences with O.M.S Suzuki service centre. I find this thread quite idle, especially with owners from Chennai.

O.M.S suzuki service centre is far better than the service centre which is attached to the showroom I got my bike from (Not interested in mentioning the name. It is located to close to O.M.S suzuki though). Right from customer reception to the delivery of the bike after service, the people who work there were courteous. The ambiance is also more pleasant. The mechanics who work there and the service supervisor and manager are also very mindful of the work they do. They serviced my bike really fast and resolved the issues that my previous service centre didn't. They had better communication through phone calls about the status of the bike at the service centre. They also delivered the bike much before the scheduled time without compromising on workmanship. The workmanship is also better. Previously, I had to call the older service centre to ask for the status of the bike and get it delivered. They also made me doubt their workmanship. The bike is lot safer with these new people. They do not torture the bike in your absence and do not ride it out without your knowledge, both of which, my previous service centre did. This is evident once you receive the bike and get the feel of a new bike.

These people also deal with suzuki cars and service it too. They also have a long standing client base for suzuki car sales and services. So I am going to go to them for my bike's next service also and I would like to recommend it to others who wish to have a change of service centre in Chennai.

Hi... Just curious to know what was the mileage when cruising at 85-95KMPH in your 220F? How does it compare to Gixxer's mileage at those speeds. Thanks

I think the insulator nose portion looks light brown. Hence it is a good air/fuel mixture as per the owners manual. Not lean or rich.

I recently bought a new gixxer 155. Just completed about 600km. I've been getting around 50-55 kmpl milage but since today morning the bike has been giving jerks(just like when the bike comes on reserve) when I pull the throttle slightly so as to maintain the speed and when I'm at lower rpms even in 2nd gear.

Guys what is the interval of checking the tyre pressure? I check the pressure every 4-5 days & earlier it was constant at 29 psi (front) & 33 psi (rear). However, off late, I have been loosing 2-3 psi in 4-5 days for rear tyre. Front tyre pressure remains constant at 29 psi. Has riding with a pillion got to do anything with it as earlier I used to ride without pillion as the bike was in break in (upto 1600 km). My earlier bike had tube tyres & the pressure used to remain constant at 28 & 32 psi even while riding with pillion for 2 weeks!
                                Can anybody throw light?
                                Thanks!
