How long does blue color last without shade? I mean, I am confused between Blue or Black color GIXXER.
Which color last long without shade?

Anyone felt jerking at 3rd gear in 3000-3500 rpms?? If I keep the throttle fixed in these rpms the bike is jerking like it does when it comes to a reserve, ie accelerating and decelerating at the same time, can somebody please verify this?? When I'm opening the throttle more its vanished, but keeping it constant is giving this jerking issue 😞

Check if you have something beneath the seat blocking the air flow.

          • Is this suitable for 6'3+ heighted person

            Hello Riders!
This is my 1st post to forum. You all've provided a lot of info about this fabulous Gixxer!

            Just few things are missing:
            1. Is this suitable for a person of 6'3 feet height
            2. How's pillion comfort (pillion seat looks smaller than FZ and Unicorn has the longest seat)
            3. Any hardware upgrades coming soon? I wish to buy 150CC bike in Jan/Feb. Hornet might be good deal, who knows.
            4. Why should I buy Gixxer over FZS, Hornet and Xtreme (I really like this, but not much as Gixxer! )
            5. Don't know why, but bike looks smaller (but dimensions are similar to FZ, Xtreme, Unicorn) than similar bikes. Is it just me or handlebar is lower?
            6. Didn't see many Gixxer in Mumbai as compared to FZ, Pulsar, etc. What's the reason & how's service around Mumbai, Thane?

            Thanks.

Bro I am too having the same problem. But it doesn't jerk in my case when I open throttle 3000 to 4000 rpm there is no response its flat after crossing 4000rpm speed increase it happens in 3, 4, and 5 gear. It started from 750km in odo now I 3800km still feels the same. Tomorrow I am giving it for second service. Any senior members please advice

"3. Any hardware upgrades coming soon?"

Gixxer twins are going to be upgraded with rear disc brakes.
As you said you are going to buy bike by January or February you have two advantages...
1.) You can buy a rear disc brake upgraded Gixxer.
2.) You can buy a 2016 manufactured bike.

                  Wait till January...

Any idea, other than disc brakes, what upgrades might be and when to expect them? So that I can wait long enough .

                      Hi,
I have been facing low light issue on the highways. The images shown by you look great, I mean the spread & lumens; it is quite bright. Are you still using the the philips xtreme vision bulb? What effect does it have on battery? I asked the philips dealer, he said that I might have to use an adapter as the battery might not be able to support the load. Is the bulb a stock replacement or do we need to do any modifications to the bulb holder?

                      Thanks in advance!

I'll be giving my baby for first service this Saturday. What should i be careful about.. I'm getting good mileage so i guess i should ask them not to mess with the carb.. Bike idles at 1250rpm is this sufficient? I have also filled my tyres with nitrogen
