Again had the issue with self start. Doesn't work for a day after bike is drenched in the rain. Complained to SVC and he said no one has reported such an issue. Anyway told him next week first service and i want switch replaced.

You need to understand the fact that, its a carb bike and it will not start at one go, especially if its very cold. Replacing things isn't going to work magic. This is one disadvantage of a carburetor. If there is any problem with switch use wd40 or tune the RPM thing near carb by a trusted svc. I am not discouraging you from claiming warranty on anything, but every carb bike has cold start issue. So take a chill pill and its not a heart breaking thing.

            Cheers,
            Sanjay

              Here is my question

What is the time to change engine oil?

How do we figure it out ?

What engine oil is suggested mostly MOTUL but I need your suggestion based on your experience...

What grade should be use 10w40 or 15w40 or ?

What kind of engine oil needs to be used synthetic?

Does engine oil color matters ?

              Thanks in Advance

                Here is my question

What is the time to change engine oil?

                Answer -when the manual insists.

How do we figure it out ?

Answer - you have periodic services, as far as normal bikes are concerned, at every service oil and oil filter ia changed.

What engine oil is suggested mostly MOTUL but I need your suggestion based on your experience...

Answer - AFAIK, suzuki suggests motul oil and I dont see any superior oil other than motul for gixxer. If you think something else is superior,go ahead share your experience.

What grade should be use 10w40 or 15w40 or ?

                Answer - refer owner manual

What kind of engine oil needs to be used synthetic?

                Answer - owner manual

Does engine oil color matters ?

                Answer- NO

                Thanks in Advance

All the questions you have asked are answered in the owner's manual.

Did you read the bible(owner's manual) before asking such questions.

Please do your homework rather than bluntly asking for spoon feeding.

If you had read the gixxer ownership thread, you would have got all your answers.

                Cheers,

                  Hi Sanjay,

                  Thank you

Unfortunately Bible is not with me, if it is with me probably I would refer it before posting here...

I think its not cold starting issue, its electronic problem with switch... Cold start is something different!!

If the engine doesn't even try to start with one crank of self start then its electric problem.
If it starts but then stops n couple of second than cold start problem.
Frankly speaking modern gen carbs don't face the problem anymore

i had wonderful ride today, my gixxy engine getting smoother day by day.

                              guys, i have few questions

                              1. what would be exact speed range at 4500rpm and 4000rpm (5th gear) ? (speedometer disconnected for until registration process)

                              2. where do i get owner's manual ? at showroom itself ?

Bro you dont seem to understand the issue. There is no response when i use self start for a day. If it responds then i can understand this cold engine stuff etc.
I always kick start bike in the morning. But after rain electric start has no response. Not a single sound also. Showed at SVC too and he said has to check wiring and stuff. But bike would start with a single kick at such time.

At 5th gear you can go max 64 to touch 4500 rpm

I have maintained as per manual. But i am asking for ideal road conditions. SVC mentioned 25 and 35 thats why i am trying to clarify here.

                                PS: I use nitrogen.
