    1. Pls dont restrict the engine to 6k RPM. The manual specifies 7.5k RPM - take it to that level atleast. Further, once done with a few hundred kms, take it beyond 7.5 too - occasionally and gradually.

    2. I had the same initial feed wrt the RPM meter but trust me, you would get used to it.

    3. Like u said, engine braking is massive, really massive.
yes twice i saw the rpm light blinking so yes i did touch the 7.5k a coupl of times i guess.

i have got an aftermarket set of brake and clutch lever. its on the way.
    bought it from mad hornets

edit: just got the levers! quality is very very good.

They look kinda of like MOXY levers which costs about 500 bucks. Hope these are from some different manufacturer.

But my biggest fear is the service guys wont be able to judge and colclude properly....any case lets see going to SVC is the only option that we have...
Just came back from the service centre and the guy checked for working of the cooling mechanism and said that everything is working as it is suppose to be but the warning shouldn't have come, he said there might be some small issue with the earting because of which the false warning might be coming to rectify that he needs to open all the fairing and dig very deep to check that which will take a lot of time, he said if i can leave the bike he will check it but i had to come back so he said if you get this kind of false warning come again and I will check the earthing issue.

Man I got similar levers locally sourced for 1200 bucks. Manufacturer unknown😁 but they are working fine for now.
Got them only for eye candy.

There are two RPM indicators - RPM1 - when the red light starts blinking and RPM2 when the red light remains constant.

For my bike - RPM1 and RPM2 have been set at 5K and 7.5K respectively out of the showroom. The manual too prescribes these as stock setup. However, for a couple of friends I know the RPM1 was set at 7.5 k.

Check out what are the set levels for ur bike.

rpm1/rpm2 are set at 5k/7.5k out of the showroom. they are changed during the first service to 7.5k/10k.
it blinks constantly between rpm1 and rpm2 and stays constantly lit up at and above the rpm2
they are just 'visual references' to assist people in keeping the revs limited during the run-in and also to nudge them to shift on seeing the red light flashing.. i had mine (d200)set after the first service at 6k/10k
ktm recommends to keep the rpm's under 7.5k for the first 1000km. a d200 touches 100kmph at 7500rpm .. so wonder what speeds a 390 can do! just keep the rpm within the specified limit during run in maybe nudging it a little higher, and beyond 1000km you can gradually build up higher revs.
