i felt so emotional at that time......and after a few minutes of emotional atyachaar he finally booked the GS.....

i learnt a lesson today ' No matter how much does one is able to spend for their child they love them to the core of their hearts and give them all the facilities while remaining hungry themselves '
True words....This is why India stands tall....and the children are more disciplined and loving...when they see what their elders do for them the family bonding comes naturally..and the elders set a worthy example which the children follow when they also grow up....

better to avail all your SVC backed service till the bike is out of warranty.......you in case if you run into any manufacture related problems like battery,or digital console or leaked carburettor, all your service coupons would have to be considered during the warranty period.

it should be either the miles on odo or date which ever comes early is the service date
up to certain extent dealer will adjust with you if the date or odo miles crossed alot more than the service date / miles they will do the next service together (learn from AKFARA)

the impact of skiping SVC and going to local mechanic is

            * no warranty covered for any fault on the vehicle you have to pay more money.

            * this is a new bread vehicle (not like all other 150cc bikes) so letting the local mechanic touch is like let him screw it up and learn from your bike.

in another word just stick to SVC thats the only better option available.

                        Hi guys. After following quotes abt GS150R and reading abt the performance of this bike, ive finally decided to buy Suzuki GS150R. I will be doing so this week. Just wanted to understand some points;

1- While taking the delivery, what all shud i check in the bike?
2- How shud i maintain optimum mileage?
3- How do i understand that im being sold one of the newer models and not a 2009 model?

Kindly help me to make things clear for me.

I dont think the warranty will be void as tyres are consumables according to the manual!

I personally though feel the tyres are adequate....but if you want to upgrade then surely go for the michelin!!!

Check the ODO reading (should not be in three digit or clarify with them if its above 50 kms)
Check the body panels for possible scratches or damage during transport
check the electrical by turning on the light and other switches
Go with the SVC guy for a small 1 kms trip and get clarified if any unusual sound comes
the above are applicable for all bikes
Do check the papers are okay

2- How shud i maintain optimum mileage?

Ask this question after crossing the initial 1500 KMS, as of now follow the manual and don't expect 62 kmpl from Day one

3- How do i understand that im being sold one of the newer models and not a 2009 model?
refer the mentioned post from Mach50

One in the second picture is 2009 the third picture is 2010 if the silence is different from both means you are the first to get 2011 model GS

Kindly help me to make things clear for me.
Hey varun, it seems you asked some question on buying GS almost 5 or 6 months back

                            yet to buy hmmmm

my replies are in bold brother

Hello Bro...congrats on your decision....I too bought my bike recently....

Well main things you have to check is there are no scrathces on the bike....check for rusts....or any paint damage on the bike....especially near the seat....because it is bit hidden...

check that the bike has not been run for more than 2/3 kms....and for the year of manufacture....check the sticker on the bike....for the month of manufacture....and match the engine number with that on the sticker....

Well or if you are buying a new dual color it is the 2010 model...only....well anything....else we are only happy to help....
