Guys, I hope this is not a bad to place to ask, can you suggest some good Suzuki Showrooms in Bangalore ? Who are decent, have stock of test ride bikes and treat customers properly ? I already visited Aryan near Domlur, they only had Hayate for TR. So suggest another place where I can check out Slingshot+ and GS150R.Last edited by MHG; 07-12-2012, 09:07 AM.Currently without a vehicle. Uber App and Bangalore Metro serving all my travel needs.

Try the Aryan Suzuki in K R puram. People are nice and friendly. They have test ride of GS for sure. Not sure about slingshot. But it can be arranged. Ask for Ayyapa..Originally posted by MHG View PostGuys, I hope this is not a bad to place to ask, can you suggest some good Suzuki Showrooms in Bangalore ? First of all sorry for the late reply anyways bro you were right today i seen that the engine oil is greater than the full 'F' limit.Originally posted by dip097 View PostHi Nihal,
If the rattling sound is coming from the engine after the oil change, check whether you have filled the correct amount of oil. Also make sure you have placed the washer properly in the oil filter.
Rattling sound can also come from the head light cowl.As you have removed it from the bike for fitting the LEDs, you might have accidently forgot to tighten any screws or something so check that also"
Yea, It happens to me also. I have a friend who always does this with his FZ. It is fun isn't it?
.maybe the previous oil was not flushed properly...what to do now can i reuse that engine oil..after taking it out as it is mixed wih the previous oil. and yes the cowl is correctly and no nuts were loose at all ..

Did you check the engine oil properly? Other wise you will get a faulty reading. If you are sure engine oil is above the required level, drain some oil and refill the same oil to the required level. Make sure the engine oil filler cap is removed for smoothly draining the oil from engine. Also refer the owner's manual in which every thing is described properly.Originally posted by Nihal View PostFirst of all sorry for the late reply anyways bro you were right today i seen that the engine oil is greater than the full 'F' limit.

Warranty will be void, Many on this forum have got this done.Originally posted by prp1988 View PostHi All,
I got my Black GS last thursday and till now i have covered 460km on it.
I liked everything on the bike except for the headlight which is good for nothing.
I have to ride at night, so I am thinking of converting to full DC. Can this be done from Suzuki Service center or should I take help from local mechanic. Will doing this results in the warranty of the bike being void??
Please help me.
gmagesh and punarvasu i guess. Expenses were below 2grand as per gmagesh. SVC will not support this modification but for sure you can get a local mech to help you with this setup.

Damn !! Chirag'jee , how did this happen ? how old is the bike ? out of warranty now ? insurance ?Originally posted by chiragwarm View PostTank Dead
Anyone thinks it can fixed ? How ? I just cannot afford a new tank. Seriously can't.
Very poor quality galvanising on the metal evidently
.
I do suggest a new tank though - you may try this ....
Fuel-tank Rust Removal (by Electrolysis) & Rust Proofing - Team-BHP
Be sure to read up on "fuel tank rust removal by electrolysis" on the inter-net and check out the explanatory videos on youtube before you try something like that .
Untill you can get to it , you may be interested in one of those magnetic fuel filters that many enfield-bullet riders fit on the fuel line between the tank and carb

That link you gave me is epic but its one real bouncer. You have any other method I could try? I'm willing to try possible methods. The bike is a May 2010 bought and finished 10,000 KMS almost.Originally posted by Pinaki View PostDamn !! Chirag'jee , how did this happen ? how old is the bike ? out of warranty now ? insurance ?

Rusting majorly (75%) happened within just 4 days of time. 60Kms to be precise. My tank cap was shut loose because the Air Vent is choked up and if I tighten the cap there is a tension created & there is a water cum air blast when I open the cap, so water went in from the loose cap but I ignored. Now today I realized the jerks in the bike won't stop & took it to the mechanic & then bang! I saw the rust. Also, the bike sucked up 2 liters of petrol for the 60KMS ride.
Warranty yeah I guess out? Insurance I have updated of RS 55000. Someone tell me if I can claim insurance for the tank for the accident which happened in APRIL 2012 ?
I have replaced my Handle bar & Leg Guard which were highly damaged in the accident. Will I get claim for that too ?

Suzuki is replacing the rusted fuel tank of early batch bikes irrespective of the warranty period, only if the free and paid services are done as per the schedule. But your only servicing was at 2500 and 6000 kms and hence a free replacement cannot be expected.
Anyhow, you have to remove the tank from the bike to clean it to remove the water in it completely. At that time, ask the mechanic to clean the air vent, fuel filter in the tank, fuel line and the carburetor. To remove the rust, thoroughly spray WD-40 and flush with petrol and, thereafter, keep the tank full until you get another chance to claim insurance as the rust on the dents on the tank proves that the crash is not recently happened.

No other lasting solutions to it that I know of . Problem is with petrol being such a good solvent , nothing much else would stick around in there to prevent rust . The electrolysis method combined with shaking-with-loose nuts and bolts inside it followed by an acid bath removes most of the rust . The two-part epoxy then coats the inside surface and sets , preventing further rust . It is not a complicated method if you read up on it well , just a bit laborious one . If it comes to it , I'm sure you can do it .Originally posted by chiragwarm View PostThat link you gave me is epic but its one real bouncer. You have any other method I could try? Don't try anything like this or any other repairing untill you try out the things mentioned below -
You should have done this much earlier, but whats done is done ... no use fretting over it , rather try to recover as much of the damages & cost as possible now, immediately .Originally posted by chiragwarm View PostWarranty yeah I guess out? Warranty may be out but since suzuki is known to be recalling such defective parts even out of warranty , specifically for this same rusting problems you should shoot a mail to their highest level possible and then report it immediately to your suzuki service . I am half-sure that with some effort, you can get them to bear at least a large part of the cost of a new tank even now .
if the above doesn't work then --
Insurance - report immediately to your suzuki-dealer or where you got insured and let them do their job . Lets see . After all , what is insurance for ? Also try to make up some personal medical excuse(with a certificate) explaining the delay(say for one month) in reporting the crash .... that should work
.

I guess to invest in new tank if insurrence not valid , you have driven only 10K in 25 months , you must have stored vehicle a lot.Originally posted by chiragwarm View PostThat link you gave me is epic but its one real bouncer. Cost of new tank is Rs.4,131Originally posted by chiragwarm View PostTank Dead

You will get 99% insurance if your bike is less than 1 year old.
I got new one by claiming insurance. The only problem is you would have to order a new tank matching your bike color and sticker from Suzuki and that will take at least a month.
