@ Jayanth & Venky
Congrats and welcome to GSpian community.Guys dont worry over the model. Batch by batch manufacturer will upgrade the bike little by little. GS 2010 is a hazzle free bike, so 2011 will be better one.
Visit Suzuki's site and see if you are getting the same. The 2010 GS has two tone color scheme for greenish blue and orange one, sporty silencer cover, CA series RR unit etc. On getting bikes post a full 360 degree photos for us to note the changes

where is the VIN imprinted and which one indicates that it is 2011 model?Originally posted by Jayantnarangkar View Posteven i dont know... someone pls help us
Guys....as Anup told the 2010 model is very good and no hassles....I have brought my bike just 1 week back...and it is damn good....
do not worry about it much....
Also one more thing....when I had asked the dealer here....I had spoken to the manager of the showroom....and he confidentially informed me that 2011 model bikes will arrive here in south india by March 2011....!!!
He informed me that generally once the bikes are manufactured in suzuki it takes atleast 2 months to reach the dealers finally....
It is not that they manufacture there in Harayana....and the bikes will arrive within 2-3 days to the dealers...it does not happen like that....
as there will lot of testing done and it takes time to bring the bikes....so do not much worry about the model...go ahead and buy it....
All the best...

Guys I'm really happy to see so many new GS owners. There was a time when we could see only same old faces. Now its very active, it seems like people have started to know about this forgotten beast
. Guru your return turned things around here

Sir,
Really happy to see you here again. Now see how the situation has changed. Presence of someone like you, who can correctly clear the doubts of GS owners was inevitable. Most doubts and complaints are very simple, but very serious to bike owners. Hope you will find out a little more time to spend here. Thank you.
With due regards.

Hi Guys,
I am planning another long trip this weekend. Planning to go to Mahabaleshwar in this chilling cold. Another 600+ trip with pillion & luggage.
Mumbai GSPians: I wanted to know whether the petrol price in Mahabaleshwar is cheaper than Mumbai? I pay around 65 for Power (HP petrol) in Navi Mumbai. Also since it will be extremely cold, I guess the petrol density will be the highest there. Right?
So does it make sense to fill tank at Mahabaleshwar & get the maximum benefit of fuel price & fuel density?
BTW when & where is the Mumbai G2G happening? Any news?

Bro....I am too very happy to see new people going for this bike.....well I am not sure how much my return has affected...but I am sure the bike will surely satisfy the new owners.....
Also I have marketed the bike so much in my company that 2 people are buying it next month....
....they were going for Unicorn....but when they saw my bike and all the features for the same price...they settled for the GS...which is really better than Uni atleast in features...
I will try to get them into the forum here....soon...

@ Vishnu
We will be happy to have both you and psr here.
@ Guru
I believe seeing your enthusiasm many regained the enthusiasm they had when they bought (anxiously waited)bike(including me
). He he that was a good move. Unicorn is still tempting, but its not a value for money anymore, because all they provides is still the same (package)with a different price tag.
If only GS had a mono suspension with rear disc brakes. It will be a killer for all 150 ccs.Well-trained reflexes are quicker than luck.........

Dear friend,
The dealers will come in search of you, ready to rectify the problems of your bike. Instead of repairing, demand a new bike. For that, a legal notice will be better. We are paying the hard-earned money; so we are the kings.
Do it at the earliest possible. All the best.

You can count me in as potential GSR buyer
Yes Amitinc. I did not notice your KL plate... it was too dusty
After having a couple of test with GSR, Dazzler and new hunk, I have made up my mind to go for GSR.... though my wife prefers the hunk's look. I find the GSR bold and matured, which should suit my work and riding habits very well....
But I am faced pathetic customer service on both sides:
1. I had made a full cash payment for the dazzler.... I am having an issue with the money being completely refunded. So unless I have that resolved, my GSR 150 is on hold. Yesterday I understood why people here hate Honda Customer service....
2. ABT Suzuki in Nandanam Chennai where I went for my second test ride, should be regarded as the most incompetent centre ever.... The sales guy does not know even 2% of what you talk about... The only point he kept saying was GSR is 150cc and 4 stroke with six gears... He had to ask his colleagues what XTP meant, who never knew and the answer was returned only after a checking with floor supervisor ie. It produces less vibration, but I believe its for additional Torque availability as even the GSR literature clearly states ? Am I right ?
Also my wife seemed to develop a liking for a pink access 125cc
and a purchase might be at hand
.... This same idiot told my wife the difference between Activa and Access is.
Active is 2 stroke with 100 cc engine and is uncomfortable
Access is 4 stroke with 125 cc engine and is more comfortable
ABT was known to be a better service centre for Maruti cars compared to Unipro those days... I believe with bikes, they are the worst.... infact i plan to write a complaint about their pathetic service
.
SMK in Porur was far far better with superbike GSR1000
and that same Bandit on display, but its too far from my location.
Unless these japanese bike companies starting improving customer service instead of offering water based teas, knowledgeable people will run away from such centres.
The Bajaj probiking centres should be a prime example of good customer service.... had just checked avenger 200cc based on friend suggestion, but one ride on the dynometer and I left it then and there.... But they are 100times more knowledgeable and respectable than the Suzuki or Honda centres.
Nevertheless my GSR purchase would be fixed once i receive the refund. I have planned for the blue-black combo.
Could Chennai guys please advise me about Jains Suzuki service quality and their customer support ?
xBHP really helps people who are not that well informed with bikes, to make a knowledgeable and educated purchase... congrats
