Akfara when you left your bike first time for the repair ,...the SVC would have given you a receipt, and on delivery you would have signed a satisfactory service completed note,of which you would have received a copy...and also the regular service done acknowledgment..Keep these safely.Originally posted by akfara View PostSir i done that whatever u told....
....You ask me why u replaced the Bore and piston...The answer is in ur question itself ,as i read in the thread ,that Few 2009 batches had problem, that too similar to mine ,I called MR vinod natarajan south service head Suzuki personally ,he told to contact my main SC dealer in pondy which i did ,and later it was changed under warranty(But they not give me a voucher or show it, whether the Bore and piston is changed or not...bcos i was not present at site which is 150km away from me....As u asked it was 13800km i left the bike for B&P change and Now current odo is 15800km( i did service and change oil at 14550km)..During the period which i got back my bike after B&P ,The engine runs smooth and even i am sane rider always, ride the same below 4500RPM as RUN-in-Period....
Now the question is where to lodge complaints...because suzuki website have feedback page only ...

Write a letter telling your problems from day one,(attach a xerox copy of your purchase bill)and also the repair and replacement of engine parts, WITH DATE ,..and send it to Suzuki in the address you had indicated, BY REGISTERED POST, ..Demanding Replacement of Defective GS..and extended warranty ....send one copy to your SVC, and keep a good copy for your records.Remember to attach copies of your service history forms along with the letter.
I am sure you will get positive response.

so better check by opening the oil container....Originally posted by BiKeLovER View PostI faced the same problem with my karizma....
There can be 2 reasons for the noise
1..If it is making the noise and the oil container is empty, than probably its making the noise because when the brake pad is touching the disk.... there is no oil and than it creates some noise...So feel the oil as soon as possible. (Do it immediately it may spoil the brake)
2. It can be that the brakes pad are completely worn and makes sound, when brakes are pressed... check the width of your brake pad...(If they are gone may cost you 1050Rs+)
There are two above reasons for the sound...dont worry the worse thing which can happen is you may need to change the brake pad...
It wont spoil your complete brake if you fix it as soon as possible.
If not may affect your disk, and if you have ridden only for 7k...the possibility of brake pad worn is less.Originally posted by akfara View PostIts seems u need to replace the oil,Even for me the pressure in front brake while pressing is less and found the oil is low in level and asked the lone mech in svc , he replied that , it need oil change and add air pressure to make ur front brake lever UP, which i never understand the term filling air pressure???
Originally posted by psr View PostWhat you have said indicates JAMMED Disc Brake Pistons..this had led to constant rubbing of disc pads which by now will be worn out,and may have led to low oil level.Only SVC can sort out this problem as it involves removing the entire disc brake system and doing a clean up,checking, and replacement of worn and necessary parts.Originally posted by Anupdas View PostHii guys, Once I had same problem. I was hearing a squeaking sound from disc brakes. The fluid container showed empty and when I asked S.C they just washed disc rotor and pads. The sound was due to accumulated dust.
In falcon's case since the bike has run only 7K this may be the reason
. The container may be full and thats why its showing empty.
By default one of the brake pads touch rotors a little. That may be the reason for heating the disc. Correct me if im wrong.
I went to the SC, i'm not sure what exactly they did because the service area is on the 2nd floor and sometimes that security guard doesn't allow people upstairs.
Anyway, after 30 min of waiting downstairs i sneaked upstairs, they had opened up the container and they filled some oil (now the colour through the window is reddish, before it looked like its empty)
The mechanic was like the fluid was still there and he has just topped it up, and he said the sound was just dust accumulated between the disc and they cleaned the disc.
Came back with a big smile, the pads aren't worn out, nothing is jammed, and they didn't charge me anything either.

Guys.....I am facing one problem...please help...
When I start the bike in the morningit does not start immediately.....I put the choke and start...then warm up a bit...then it switches off....then again it starts after some tries.....I do not understand why this happens...
Also there is one more problem....once I start riding the bike and go for aboout 4-5 kms...the bike acts as if the petrol is finished....I mean it starts knocking.....and engine totally stops...its not that the petrol is less or something...the tank is more than half full most times...
Then it does not start...at all...then I open the petrol tank flap and shake the bike a bit and then....twist the petrol pipe below a little....and then the bike starts imeediately....then it does not give any problem until the next time.....
I asked one local meachinc about this and he told me that air is getting locked in the petrol tank....its like vaccuum is being created so the petrol flow is not regular....I also tested this....when the bike stops...and I open the petrol tank flap...and feel that the air escaping....its like the air is being pressurised inside....
Just please help in this....this is generally happening most of the times...
thanks....

Glad it was only dust...but the oil level cannot drop without pad wear...unless it was already low .The disc brake oil and actuator piston work under sealed condition, and oil cannot evaporate.Originally posted by thefalcon View PostThe mechanic was like the fluid was still there and he has just topped it up, and he said the sound was just dust accumulated between the disc and they cleaned the disc.

Oh, i'll keep a close watch on the fluid level and if it becomes less again then i'll have to ask them to check the entire disc assembly.Originally posted by psr View PostGlad it was only dust...but the oil level cannot drop without pad wear...unless it was already low .The disc brake oil and actuator piston work under sealed condition, and oil cannot evaporate.
The mechanic showed some grooves on the disc pad and said that there is not much wear on the disc pads.
I guess you should ask your mechanic to check the fuel tank. There will usually be a path for air to enter the tank to prevent vacuum from getting formed, that must have got blocked by dust in your bike.Originally posted by Guru_007 View PostGuys.....I am facing one problem...please help...

Grooves in disc, and pad is because of brake pad dust getting locked in and forming grooves in pad also.Originally posted by thefalcon View PostOh, i'll keep a close watch on the fluid level and if it becomes less again then i'll have to ask them to check the entire disc assembly.

You had mentioned red color brake fluid.. DOT 3 spec fluid is RED and DOT4 is Golden....Findout which(DOT3 or DOT4) brake oil is to be used in your brake reservoir..your User Manual will have the details.

Hey Hi,
I have been using the new bike for last 4 months. but never faced this problem.....
Yesterday my bike started in one single kick at 5 Am.
I thinks that is a vacuum bubble which stops the petrol and you are
facing the knocking.
Best Place will be SC....don't depend upon local mechanic for your new machine...
Cheerssigpic
