      Hey guys,

So since i got my TNT300, I'v decided to put my old drift camera to use and found the opportunity to record some vlogs.

Here is one where i show the insides of Ahmedabad Benelli SVC and discuss what and why and hows of first service

      Thanks !

            Hi fellow TNT owners,

Hope you all are doing good !

Just a small introduction here. I am from Pune and just booked my very own first bike the, Benelli TNT 300 in Green colour on 12th September. Expected delivery is 11th Oct on auspicious occasion of Vijayadashmi Dussehra (Hope it gets delivered as promised by the dealership )

I don't have a long running history with motorcycles. Although i am very passionate and fond about motorcycles and riding in general since i was a kid. But as i grew up wanted to get one soon, but in college as i couldn't afford one so parents bought me an Honda Dio in 2007 (Yes, this is not a motorcycle) They didn't allow me to own a bike, as for them moped was safer than a 'bike'. Been riding that since a decade now and clocked 100,000+ on the odo. Dad has Bajaj Caliber 115(2003 Hoodibaba!) on which i learnt my first lessons in riding a bike.

Ok that being said, been saving up for my own bike since last 2+ years and was planning to get one soon. So in between i was introduced to this bike in 2015 via a friend's firm known as SPS Bikers which was an superbike renting company. That one had an aftermarket IXIL x55 exhaust, and God ! that was the first time i skipped a heartbeat as never before i heard or seen any bike in that category that sounded so sweet and punchy! That Inline 2 deep bass tone is very mesmerising. It looked so solid and well built in that green livery. That night went home and researched about it on internet (of course most info i got on XBHP from this blog ) It totally fitted my bill which was commuting and touring. And very next day enquired about it in Pune DSK Benelli showroom and Mr Ajinkya Zbylut was kind enough to help me go through the bike and its details.

So finally this month booked it, as i couldn't wait any further. Special mention to UnsettledNose73 and brokenbinil whose posts here answered most of my questions about ownership experience and general queries about accessories and service/maintenance. I know this bike is special amongst other bikes in the same segment and it has an own aura and presence on the road where people around you admire it !

Accessories i am getting from Dealership:-

            1.Frame Sliders.
            2.Tank Pad.
            3.Trizact Body coating. (5 coats/year)
4.Extended Warranty. (Not sure if this is cool idea if we look at the shorter service intervals)

            Queries:-

Should i opt for the aftermarket Radiator grill from aliexpress ? Because i asked most owners they said that their fins got bent due to water pressure at service centre itself or the small pebbles on roads. Not mandatory, is this just a visual accessory or serves the purpose ? or mud guard extensions are better ?

Where can i get windshields? Puig rafale universal windscreen/Ali Express/Benelli Store ?

Only thing i am not happy is that they stopped selling the bike in green colour with silver trellis frame , and in my opinion it looked magnificent with grey engine shade.
Now in this 2016 model it has an all black trellis frame like they have on red, with black colour springs (Rest Black and White have red trellis frame and red suspension springs) But have to live with it now and the green colour is my favorite from the lot. Maybe i will call it, HULK!

            Cheers.

But this manual is just user manual and its not a workshop manual , I found workshop manual for tnt 600 that describe everything about bike, For example how you can change spark plugs and more
Is anyone who has a manual like this?

Accessories i am getting from Dealership:-

                  1.Frame Sliders. GREAT CHOICE
2.Tank Pad. MAKE SURE THEY INSTALL IT CORRECTLY. . . MINE CAME OUT IN TWO DAYS AFTER IT WAS APPLIED WITHOUT SURFACE BEING CLEANED.
                  3.Trizact Body coating. (5 coats/year)AGAIN, GREAT CHOICE!
4.Extended Warranty. (Not sure if this is cool idea if we look at the shorter service intervals) I ACTUALLY DECIDED NOT TO GET IT AT THE END. BECAUSE I FOUND OUT THAT OUR BIKES ARE SORT OF THE 2nd GEN of the TNT300 AND SOME IMPROVEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE BUT NOT DECLARED BY BENELLI

Should i opt for the aftermarket Radiator grill from aliexpress ? . I HIGHLY RECON YOU DO ! you might think its expensive, can be made here for cheap. but believe me it was the best 5000 rupess i spent. got it with FEDEX EXPRESS SHIPPING. . . I'v had sooo many people ask me about it, on lookers to benelli svc technicians. plus it does the job VERY WELL and fit is PRISTINE ! . .
                  .

At the time of booking, I had actually requested for green bike, but at that time i was told it was discontinued. :P so i went with the red one.

                  Cheers.

Congratulations Nilesh. I too got my green one the 16th. Well, not sure where the disconnect is, I was told that green color is back in action as people have been demanding it. Earlier they discontinued green and got in white but again green has started.

Also, I booked the bike on 10th and got it on 16th. They were 2 bikes already available. So you waiting for dussehra or you been asked to wait? Btw, PM me the sales guy u dealing with.

                    Cheers!!

Note: On the trizact coating part, just have a check one more time. I had visited the 3M showroom in baner and he said its not needed for new cars/bikes. Its usually done for vehicles who want their shine back.

3M applies science and innovation to make a real impact by igniting progress and inspiring innovation in lives and communities across the globe.

I have already read this manual and there is another one Chile version found on Scribd but again not in details :-

Il documento ripete più volte il nome Benelli TNT 300 Chile senza fornire ulteriori dettagli.

                      Hi UnsettledNose73,

                      Thanks for the replies inline

-> I guess i will get the tank pad fitted by myself after cleaning the surface.

-> Regarding Trizact what i was told by showroom guys is, new bikes are polished (?) before being delivered to the customers. I didn't get it what kind of 'polish' is this, as new bikes are already shiny and new. AFAIK one can guess by brushing the surface with the back of your palm and feeling the smoothness one can determine it. Not sure about it. They told me to get it done from the SVC when i visit them for my first service. Positive note is that the SVC is just 4 Kms from my place

-> What are 2nd Gen bikes? They increased the diameter of the Water Pump inlet, the timing chain issue is rectified, front fork gear oil seals and the HORN rectified !

                      -> Regarding the windshields
Puig rafale universal windscreens are available at mumbai (http://www.ultimatespares.com/home/1...aki-er-6n.html) but cost a whopping 11,500/- INR ! xD But these are very effective in providing resistance against wind buffeting and are totally worth the cost. I want these because i will do a lot of touring

-> I am also ordering the Radiator Grill from Aliexpress

-> As i don't have any riding gears apart from my SOL Unicorn -II SL63 helmet
Should i get riding gloves and riding jackets from Benelli? they cost 2k and 7k respectively.

-> We will try to meet for sure

Well, I too have been glued to this thread since a long. Guys here are so knowledgeable, informative and thats what pushed me to go in for the bike. Well, I didnt go for trizact as of now as some of them have gone for PPF, so kinda confused. Lets see.

I am using the Puig Rafale. Got it from Germany so costed me only 7800/- INR. In India it is too expensive.

My Inputs On The Puig Rafale :

                            1. Excellent in matter with Wind Blast. Cuts off so much air movement that you would feel more hot in summers.
                            2. Goes well with the looks on the bike and fixing it is a breeze.
                            3. There is increase in Wind Noise around the helmet, of course due to the blocking of wind. It can be reduced by playing around with the angles and height by trial and error method. If you use ear plugs ... things improve a lot more.

Overall Its a good add on.
