Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Hi All TNT 300 Owners,
I recently bought TNT 25 and I just love it
....
I had a quick question and asking it here because, not many TNT 25 on road yet.
Do you know any guys who have installed exhaust on TNT 25, benellie is saying they don't have exhaust for TNT 25 yet.
Just taking chances if anybody any idea just in case
.
thankssigpic

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
They both provide protection only to a certain extent which everyone knows. With or without the frame sliders, the damange depends on the speed in which one falls. If the speed is on the lower side the FS would save the bike. If the speed is high, the frame sliders would topple the bike.Originally posted by Sri Sid View Postisnt the 2 frame sliders in the front sufficient ?
Im going for the first service tomorrow
Im thinking of removing the once at the back.
What do you think guys ?
To answer your question, please don't remove it. The back side of the bike needs equal support as the front. Its better to sweat than to bleed...

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Just went through a post in DSK Benelli FB thread where Benelli TNT 600i was awarded "Bike of the Year up to 600cc" and Benelli TNT 300 was awarded "Reader's Choice of the Year" at Bike India Awards...congrats to the owners of both machines!!

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Hi guys,
I am based in blore.
Have been following this thread very eagerly. Am planning to upgrade to a city/tourer and this bike sounds perfect. The bike is no doubt superb in its specs.
The questions that come back are:
1. Since I do not find that much time during the weekends, can I use this bike as a city bike only? Say after running in
2.Isnt the oil change once in 4 months a little bit expensive or this will be the case in performance bikes?
Would definitely like to meet up with a couple of you guys.

I second that. This thread helped me buy the tnt 300.Originally posted by dilio gopalakrishna View PostHi guys,

To answer your questions:
1. I completed my running in inside the city. And I hardly take it out for long tours. But trust me, this bike is meant for the highways that doesn't mean you can't use it inside the city.
2. Yes it's very expensive. Generally it should cost only 3.5k per service but the oil change pushes the bill over 5.5k. Few have taken this up to their respective service centers. They have told the owners that they will topup oil if it's low in quantity. But in chennai, they blindly drain and refill it.
Do keep us posted on your questions and your progress on your bike :-)Its better to sweat than to bleed...

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
You are most welcome my friend.Originally posted by dilio gopalakrishna View PostThank you shashank! That sounds encouraging
Also one more thing that's nagging me.How true are the rumours regarding the 300 being stopped and replaced by the 400?
I guess let's leave the rumour to be a rumour. When I first read DSK's MD answering a few questions about the Tornado 302 being launched in India, he just made a comment at the end saying they might build a 400 from scratch.
Wait till Feb 10th and check out the bikes that are likely to get launched within this year. Its better to sweat than to bleed...

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
From my personal experience of dropping the bike, don't even think of removing the ones on back. Saved my bike from scratches.Originally posted by Sri Sid View Postisnt the 2 frame sliders in the front sufficient ?

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
How is the field of view ? Is it better than the stock ones ? Stock ones are useless for me. I don't want to invest on another 2k to get something for show. Please let me know your honest opinion on these cafe racer type mirrors.Originally posted by MUSTANG 27 View Post1. I have fixed the barend mirrors on the bike cause the stock mirrors becomes blur at speeds of 100+, without the rear view mirrors i will never ride the bike..
2. The pick was taken before focusing the lights, took it for a ride at night does not hamper..
