Binil is spot on. If your bike has not fallen, please have the cone set checked.

Not necessary to have fallen. If the front wheel went over a sharp pot hole with force can cause fork misalignment.

      • Happy Savings Plan by Benelli

        Hey guys...

Was thinking of going for the Happy Savings Plan as i usually dont run my 4000 kms quota and end up spending pointlessly on engine oil replacement. But since, it is a dealer specific option, i wont have an option to switch between service centers. So wanted to get a feedback, between Andheri and Thane, which service center is better.

Just have 2 days to make the decision. Once GST kicks in, tax on spares will increase to 28% (from 13.5%)

        Regards
        Ishaan

I am not sure which service station is better, will leave it to others.

But I am curious about this statement tax on spares will increase to 28% (from 13.5%), as the AMC package doesn't cover spare part costs. Either way we will have to take care of paying if a part has to be changed.

AMC covers cost of spares which are to be replaced as per the service item list. Like spark plug etc.

                I'm based out of Bombay.
So basically if you take the "new" service schedule, engine oil and oil filter will be replaced on alternate services rather than on every service and air filter will be replaced every third service instead of every second. Rest of the things remain same. Not replacing engine oil on every service would normally void the warranty but opting for the new plan will not. Plus, benelli is also starting to replace oil filters with a newly designed one which they say has better performance. Which i guess is included in the new plan but otherwise it has to be bought separately. The new service schedule offers price protection but an upfront payment has to be done.

I've had 2 services done at the thane showroom and 1 at andheri. My experience with the andheri one wasnt good at all but judging on just one experience might not be right. So was looking for some feedback on the forum.

Attaching a comparison of the old and new sched for everyone's reference.Book1.pdf

Hi Ishaan I believe the spare part cost of Benelli bikes will either remain same or go down as most of the parts used for Benelli bikes are imported with the removal of excise duty,VAT,Octroi/LBT and introduction of GST will not affect imported parts rate.May be Benelli will price the parts competitively to keep the service cost down.
I will study about the impact of GST on imported parts and let you guys know about it.

TC212 dry lube right? If it's a dry lube then there's a seller in ebay from mangalore contact him, he generally has kit of ₹1200/- which has dry lube, cleaner & WD40 type of aerosol.
