Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Hello. I'm confused between duke 390 and tnt300. I never had the luck to test drive the tnt(wasn't ever available) and now I don't even want to visit the showroom. One of my friends said it doesn't have good acceleration and weight is too much..Originally posted by brokenbinil View PostHave done 3000 Kms ...
Just back from a 4 days ride around Wayanad. Saw a Red TNT 300 while I was there. Not sure if it was one of us here. I am super happy with the bike. Did some nasty off road stretches too. Will share the pictures soon.
I'm more inclined towards performance, but is it too bad? I'm looking at this for comfort, refinement, build quality and the sound.

One thing I can concretely say is - Build quality is good and sound is wayyyyyyy much better than what you will hear from R3, N300, Dukes, etc... Its definitely a comfortable ride inside city and good tourer too...No point talking about windblast and crap...We love to cruise at 100kmph..which can be done with ease. Upright stance..no problem at all.Originally posted by Amodraut View PostHello. I'm confused between duke 390 and tnt300. Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
I would never say this is better than that or vice versa. Ride both the bikes. Get a feel of how it handles. Both are very unique to its traits and should not be compared.Originally posted by Amodraut View PostHello. I'm confused between duke 390 and tnt300. Read through this thread you will also find detailed analysis of why people chose the TNT 300 and Why they did not opt for other bikes.
Still will answer ur queries in a jist.
Performance - TNT 300 has a nice tame power delivery. Let that not put you off. It rides well and the weight (tips around 196kgs with fluids) helps keep it planted even at high speeds. Handling is a breeze.
Comfort - Very comfy for self and pillion. even on long rides.
Refinement - Not too much of vibrations for a 300 twin.
Build Quality - U need to see it in flesh to justify the extra cost you will be paying for it. It's solid and can take a beating.
Sound - Its been said over n over again - the sweetest sounding 300 twin in the world.
Still as i suggested earlier. take your time and read through the full thread. you will get everything you need to know here. You still have any doubts shoot your questions here.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
I have experience with the duke.. All i had to complain about was its refinement. I have seen the tnt in flesh but the showroom never could arrange a test ride, have ridden the 600.. And I guess the extra performance is what i would go for in the end. Thanks for your helpOriginally posted by brokenbinil View PostI would never say this is better than that or vice versa. I agree with archer and binil. I've told everyone who has come to this thread with questions is to get a test ride of the bike.Originally posted by Amodraut View PostHello. I suggest go to the showroom and take a nice long ride. I'm 100% sure you'll get all your answers.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
I was in the same position a few months back and chose the KTM. TNT 300's a great bike for cruising and commuting, not that D390 can't do these but TNT 300 does these with ease. The KTM's build quality is good as TNT's, but a LOT of plastics and exposed wires albeit covered with plastics. TNT 300 feels premium with its generous use of steel/metal (which adds to the weight).Originally posted by Amodraut View PostHello. I'm confused between duke 390 and tnt300. The KTM's performance is matched by none in this segment, N300 and R3 comes close but if you're looking for outright performance this bike or the RC390 is for you. And with that, you have to deal with vibes and somewhat bad exhaust note (compared to the super-awesome TNT300's).
Both bikes have great tyres, great brakes (TNT 300 lacks ABS) and capable frame. But the handling of KTM is far better. TNT 300 is smooth through the gears but you still will feel the vibes at mid-range of the RPM. This bike feels very similar to CBR250R at low and mid range, but becomes a different bike at top-end.
So it all comes down to personal preference. I chose ABS, performance and handling over premium feel, unique and amazing sounding bike. If you're a cruiser/tourer, TNT 300's the best bet.

Thanks a lot. That was the answer i needed! I won't be doing long rides.. So duke is the best bet.. Or maybe rc for the position.
