Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Nope, it is the speed sensor itself, to get it confirmed once, I put the bike on the paddock stand and started the bike and put it in gear, and once the rear wheel started to rotate, I could see the speed build up in the speedometer, so then I was sure it was that speed sensor as well as it also works as the ABS sensor to measure speed.Originally posted by ananthu View Post

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
You are spot on about the Good and Bad things mentioned. I too feel the switch gear, especially the indicator could have been a tad bigger. Nonetheless, I am happy too. Yeah, Believe me, I am having a tought time to avoid the attention from Cops. But they seem to be cool unless, you make the Roar.Originally posted by harishkumarko View PostMy few cents. I visited DSC Benelli in Chennai two days back. Took a test ride on the TNT 300. What a bike! A few of my observations based on the small test ride. Never felt like it weighed 196kgs. And the rider seat is very comfortable. Pulls cleanly from 2k rpm in all gears. Doesn't heat up even in decent traffic. And holy mother of god, the sound that it makes! Small few niggles I found. The switches are too small especially the indicator switch. Mild footpeg vibes in midrange. Personally, I felt the instrument cluster could be better. PRICE! And for all that sweet sound the machine made, I was scared for the cops too! Wonder how all of you manage that. Overall I was blown away! And the showroom personnel are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Had a lovely chat with Suburmanian, the business head. Can someone tell how the service centre is at Chennai? I believe it is near Ekkatuthangal.
Service center for Chennai is located in Saligramam(Near AVM School). Its an annexe building of the Hyundai service. The same person has taken the service for Benelli too. The service manager there Prashanth and service mechanic Sarathy are two well known guys and easy going. They are happy to answer any BS question you throw at them.R15S - Current

80% of my riding is in city and the cops have never bothered me.
1st time got stopped for drunk riding check. Cop didn't say anything.
2nd time cop stopped and asked bike name. He didn't understand Benelli and just nodded his head and said "Po po"
3rd time a speed gun caught me at 83 kmph. Paid a fine. Nothing else.

ECR... They always hide at one particular stretch with the gun. Me, a bunch of KTMs and some cars were stopped.Originally posted by TheArcher84 View PostWhere did this happen ? I often hit 100kmph at the Pallavarm-Thoraipakkam Radial Road...

On ECR whenever you are entering / coming close to an in between Village, the speed limit is 40 Kmph....and the Cops will be standing mostly near a bend or tea shop to camouflage their presence...Otherwise the speed limit is 80 Kmph on rest of ECR...There is strict monitoring and booking of bikes/cars etc., due to to the many Fatal accidents on ECR..Originally posted by dhawz29 View PostECR... Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Why camouflage if they want safety? Is the reason for camouflage is to take money from the motorists?Originally posted by psr View PostOn ECR whenever you are entering / coming close to an in between Village, the speed limit is 40 Kmph....and the Cops will be standing mostly near a bend or tea shop to camouflage their presence...Otherwise the speed limit is 80 Kmph on rest of ECR...There is strict monitoring and booking of bikes/cars etc., due to to the many Fatal accidents on ECR..
but of course, ECR is filled with Fatal accidents
