Any DIY suggestions for the time being?
I had the same issue. Got the IND plate replicated by a local shop. 😁

If i had to choose between R3 and N300 i will take R3 any day.
I have posted a comparison review, hope it helps.

I was a previous owner of the TNT 300 many of my friends have sold it including me due to spares availability and reliability issues for some. They guy who bought my TNT 300 is selling it again (saw a Ad on OLX)
Some people have for excellent piece but some are suffering.

then i switched to R3 and im quiet happy. R3 is much better than Ninja 300

I second that. Yamaha came late to the party but they have hit a jackpot with this sweet double pot 321 cc gem.
Many international blogs have stated it being smoother than the n300.

User reviews say a different thing. N300 being the smoothest of the entry-level bikes. R3 being the most comfortable, there are vibes creeping up at around 7k RPM is what I've seen and heard.

Still, one of the best all-rounder. Ditch the MRFs and get a proper set of tyres first and foremost if you want R3 to perform.

Actually, apart from India mostly its R3 which is being praised more. may be because it is fresh compared to Ninja.

Awesome. What I did is attached a Activa license plate bracket and then screwed up my IND plate. Works great

Also, I had one question If you could help me out with.
What is the gear-to-speed ratio you usually maintain before the 1st servicing, apart from what is written in the manual?

Here are mine (Please let me know if this is acceptable)
                  1st - 20 kmph
                  2nd - 35 kmph
                  3rd - 50 kmph
                  4th - 65 kmph
                  5th - 75 kmph
6th - 82 kmph(took only couple of times considering Bangalore traffic)

It's not fixed. Try to subject the engine to all RPMs rather than upshifting at a particular RPM every time. Like sometimes at 5K, sometimes higher. Sometimes lower.
And like the manual says, avoid prolonged usage above a certain RPM. Doesn't mean you should never cross that point. 😃

Right on! I will make sure I use most of the RPMs.

                              Cheers!

There is no set usage pattern.
Though I did notice that if I shift up with the rpm in a range of 4k and above, the shifts are very smooth.
In low RPM, you will feel the click.
I am at 1800Kms with second service done and still did not go beyond 7k RPM yet.

No I don't want to ride like a hooligan and definitely not on the streets of Bangalore.

I am planning to go to a track and release the horses. With full gear and frame sliders.

For now, I am waiting for Vinayak Yamaha Domlur, Bangalore to give me a call to get the Oil pump and clutch etc fixed.
If you want to ride together sometime let me know.
