If i had to choose between R3 and N300 i will take R3 any day.

Many international blogs have stated it being smoother than the n300.

Still, one of the best all-rounder. Ditch the MRFs and get a proper set of tyres first and foremost if you want R3 to perform.

Also, I had one question If you could help me out with.
What is the gear-to-speed ratio you usually maintain before the 1st servicing, apart from what is written in the manual?
Here are mine (Please let me know if this is acceptable)
1st - 20 kmph
2nd - 35 kmph
3rd - 50 kmph
4th - 65 kmph
5th - 75 kmph
6th - 82 kmph(took only couple of times considering Bangalore traffic)Last edited by pulsarcraz; 07-04-2016, 01:53 PM.

And like the manual says, avoid prolonged usage above a certain RPM. Doesn't mean you should never cross that point. 😃Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Though I did notice that if I shift up with the rpm in a range of 4k and above, the shifts are very smooth.
In low RPM, you will feel the click.
I am at 1800Kms with second service done and still did not go beyond 7k RPM yet.
No I don't want to ride like a hooligan and definitely not on the streets of Bangalore.
I am planning to go to a track and release the horses. With full gear and frame sliders.
For now, I am waiting for Vinayak Yamaha Domlur, Bangalore to give me a call to get the Oil pump and clutch etc fixed.
If you want to ride together sometime let me know.Hero Honda Splendor (June 2001- Present)
