True, Green ninja takes all the limelight, people will ignore other bikes even if it's a litre class bike.

Yes you can ride and park bike peacefully without attaining any unwanted attention. Bike is meant to perform on roads.

    • R3 always has been BS4

      Regarding the new BS4 Vehicles.
I had a talk with the Yamaha customer care and they told me that the R3 has always been BS4 spec.
and Both the Racing Blue as well as the Black is being produced.
If your dealer is saying crap then please get in contact with customer care rather than spreading false info.

Too many rumors and misleading info here recently.
The above info is not from my side its from Yamaha Customer Care.
I may be wrong if the customer care people didn't know what they were talking .

      Cheers

The point is that if new models come with ABS then yamaha has to provide ABS on existing R3 else it will surely dent on sales numbers simply because market will get flooded with ABS bikes and in that scenario it will be difficult for yamaha to justify how they are superior to competitors without ABS.
R3 is not a value for money today. Bangalore dealer sells only 2-3 bikes a month. Not ABS, coz it's Parllel twin and japanese designed/make, cheaper to maintain than N 300.

Do a poll on reason for r3 purchase and you will have your confirmation. Unfortunately your point is not valid today/future. With ABS, price will go up but if there is no other choice then r3 will sell. No doubts- ABS is life saver in some situations.

True.there are many speculations about R3 recently which also includes 2017 model is BS4 norms compliance.
Cant say anything for sure until Yamaha officially clears the confusion. But its highly unlikely since they also launched FZ16 with some changes without any official announcement which might also BS4 compliance.

This is never been true for any imported bikes.

True the price will go up and so the price of ninja. Hence R3 will remain lesser price than ninja unless they include slipper clutch.

Thought of getting from Bangalore, but many have 2016 models itself in their yard. And Vinayak Yamaha went to a certain extent that they said the blue is stopped because of colour fading issue and I can have a 2016 black model.

If they had blue colour in stock they would have faded black colour [emoji38]

10th alphabet in your VIN, H - 2017, refer this link

Insist on getting copied of pdi. If he is big dealer don't bother, look for wear and tear signs. http://www.yamaha-motor.com.au/suppo...s-manufactured

I have doubt R3 been sold worldwide and also a CKD in Indian market it should be bs4 when compared to euro standards ..And adding ABS is like unmasking a small peice of code and few components Xtra...This shouldn't be a problem until Yamaha does something to it apart from the continent problem

As for last 1 year sales (Feb 2016 -Feb 2017) according to figures compiled on team bhp R3 has outsold the Ninja 300 by almost double ,approx 800 R3 sold to approx 400 Ninja 300 .Don't know the source but the figures look authentic .With the new Ninja 300 lacking ABS & Kawasaki separating from Bajaj i think this trend will continue .

the split imo is a huge turnoff for majority of the consumers.. God knkws the 17 lineup is mouth watering but i wont even consider them because the nearest service station is a good 500km away.. lets hope they atleast cover the capital cities asap

In India yes, though now people would have to get their Sakis serviced at the dedicated Kawasaki showroom. But, for the rest of the world where Kawasaki and Bajaj have a collaboration, especially the South American markets, they still hold valid. It's only for the Indian arena, the split has created a scene. Look on the brighter side, though people will crib about the service center shortage, at least they can be pretty sure, their machines are handled by trained Kawasaki professionals and spares lead time and vehicle TAT all would be significantly reduced, which ultimately makes a happy customer. I hope Kawasaki learn it pretty well that service center experience is what fosters a brand, so I hope all is good to stay.

                              Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                              The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                              THE END

Just one doubt. VIN no is only available as a label, but not engraved onto the bike.?

Just thinking is it possible for the dealers to change the label to show them as a current batch.!!
