Headlamp brightness - There are two bulbs of 35W each. Both are low+high beam. My bike has them pointing a bit upwards and I have to fix that, but it seems sufficient so far. The battery is a Tata make, YTZ-14S 11.2 AH capacity. Looks like superbike battery

I have been to the Pitampura service center for a small job and it was decent.

Does it come with Pirelli Tyres or some Chinese ones? The list on the first page says tyres imported from China.

Imported from China does not necessarily mean they are Chinese tyres...
Tyres are Pirelli Diablo Rosso II both at the front and rear. More details here - Mahindra Mojo

I was referring to these tyres on the first page. It says some "Moto" brand.

For Those Who are Not Sure about Mahindra After Sale Service Experience. I would like to share my recent experience.

Note : This is my first and very Long thread. So kindly forgive me for my poor English

              Small Intro About Me :

I'm Vishwa from a small Village in Cuddalore District TN and currently residing at Chennai. I like to travel long distance in motorcycles, I previously owned RE CL 350 for 4 year with 55K mileage on ODO meter. sold it coz its not reliable for Long rides.

I purchased Mahindra Mojo on October from Alfa Motors Bangalore along with other first 100 customer's including this Thread owner Tanay, The One Best thing being a first 100 customer is we got a chance to test ride the vehicle for almost 700 Km's including Ghat section from Bangalore to Chikmagalur which almost gave confidence and time to understand about this machine.

Now Coming back to my After Sale Service Experience.

After couple of months owning the vehicle in January the head light stopped working and I tried to some basic steps like replacing the fuse and checking whether Head light Bulb filament is blown Everything seems to be fine but still it was not working. When I reported this in our "Mojo WA Group" in which all other owners, Mahindra staffs are present. I got a call from Mahindra Zonal Service Manager for Bangalore and he did some probing over the phone and collected info's from me. After a day or two I got a call again from him stating that he will come to my home town directly and get it fixed for me. Unfortunately in my Home Town Mahindra two wheeler doesn't have the necessary tools to get it fixed. So the nearest dealer for me which have the necessary tools and spares is in Chennai. 212 Degree Automobiles.

Vinayak (Mahindra Service Manager) agreed to come to Chennai and look into this issue and get it fixed. We both settled on a particular day which is convenient for both of us and he came to chennai from Bangalore and i came to chennai from my home town which is 150km's far.

Around 10 AM I reached the Chennai Dealership where Vinayak and his colleagues waiting for my arrival after a small chat I gave the bike for inspection and Voila he fixed the issue in Minutes. I reported him that the handle bar was little hard for me to maneuver and he did a test ride and confirmed that some adjustments need to be done for the fork and he fixed everything on the same day. I was very much surprised that Mahindra stood by it words and sent one of his employee all d way to chennai just to attend my issue. A Big to them

I also came to know from the dealership that they are equipped with all necessary tools and the technicians are trained to handle any type of issues in Mojo and also comprehensive regular service can be done here itself. That was a good news for me as I will be shifting back to chennai around Feb.

Now On march 2nd week when my Bike is ready to Hit second service Interval, I called 212 degree SVC and booked an appointment for my 2nd service. A technician named Emmanuel was assigned to me. I Came around 12.30 in afternoon to the SVC and he started to the necessary steps which needs to be done on 2nd service. They even allowed me to stand near the bay for the whole time to watch what they are doing. I was building some friendly rapport with the technician to gather and learn more about the bike, to my surprise he was very patient and friendly and explained me steps by step what he is doing and why. He also thought me few basic's how to fix the bike when there is a breakdown during a trip.

Last week during Good Friday Holiday me and my friends planned to Hit the Ghost town of Tamil Nadu ( Dhanushkodi). Bike Performed very well in the off road terrain and we started to ride back to Tanjore to visit the historic temple and reached Tanjore at mid night.

After camping in a beautiful spot the next day when i started the bike a white smoke started to come out of no where with wire burning smell and I immediately turned off the vehicle.

My friends have few mechanical knowledge about two Wheeler's so they immediately checked what causing the smoke and identified a rectifier was failed which sends power from engine to battery. I was not at all panicked because the Bike is covered under 2 years road side assitance.

I called Mahindra Road Side Assistance and informed them about my whereabouts. Also I sent a SOS message in Chennai Whats app group which has all Mahindra R&D people and fellow customers explaining my situation.

Despite being Sunday, Immediately I received multiple phone calls from Various Heads of R&D team, Customer Relationship Team and from Various Service Managers From Chennai n Bangalore. I was Surprised and overwhelmed by their response time . Immediately they sent few Service engineers from Tanjore Showroom to my location, Even though they are not yet trained for Mojo vehicle they were with me for the whole time as an assurance.

Now Road Side Assistance assured me to sent a Tow vehicle and tow it to the nearest dealership which is Madurai 200 Km's far. I requested them to tow the Bike to Chennai as I was residing there and I cannot come to Madurai again to get the bike back. RSA explained their limitation and their coverage is upto 300 KM radius So they can tow the vehicle only to nearest dealership. I didn't argue much as this is how it works with even other car manufacturers. I requested them to Tow the vehicle to chennai and I will pay the additional cost for the transportation. Immediately they dispatched a recovery vehicle from Chennai to Tanjore. I Parked the vehicle in Tanjore Showroom and left with friends to chennai, By this time i had faith with Mahindra that they will handle my bike with utmost care even if I was not around. The towing Vehicle reached tanjore around 8 PM and the Tanjore Showroom Folks hand it over to the Towing Guys, Finally Bike reached chennai on the same day around 4 AM and dropped in 212 degree automobiles.

I spoke to Emmanuel and he assured me that he will do his best to get this issue fixed and today i received a call from him stating that the issue is taken care and the particular rectifier component was replaced under warranty, For my Luck Vinayak the Service Manager came to chennai for a meeting and training program yesterday and he also laid his hands on the bike to get it fixed and now the Bike is Running as it suppose to be.

I Would like to commend Everyone from Mahindra for their extraordinary Service when i was stranded nowhere.

Peeps, Don't think that bike caused these many issues. Its an one off case and come on after all it is a machine and the parts will eventually fail one day. What matters here is the service that you get. Mahindra Proved that they are the Best in Customer Experience. I Hope they will continue this exceptional service for many years.

Note : They Haven't Charged me yet for the extra KM's which i agreed to pay, I believe either they waived off the fare as a gesture of good will :P

                Hey Guys,

This is my 1st post in any forum, pls pardon my mistakes. I've been following this thread for quite some time and today evening I TD the bike itself. It was a short TD and also thr was evening traffic. I managed to take it to some quite roads but still could not exploit all the power. Here r my 1st impression. As you know, these are my views only not commenting on other users rides.

                1. Looks are quite different, its not beautiful but sure is striking to look at.
                2. Engine is amazing and the power delivery is linear. Loved the Torque.!!
                3. Downshifts were little on heavier side (was not smooth). May be i wasn't downshifting it correctly. Owners can comment on this.!!
                4. Loved the RPM lighting. Wow.!! (Its such little things I liked it so v much) but missed the Gear indicator. If this was their, it would have been a complete package.
                5. Although the rider seat was comfortable, My GF said pillion seat wasn't to be. All the time she felt the fear of falling(due to the Torque, and she was Holding me v tightly.!! ). Want to know does it b solved by adding back rest.? Also saw a pic in this thread (by tanay) whr the seat was little modified. Can you please give more details on it.

I'll be deciding only after taking a long TD which the showroom guy has promised to give me this weekend. Also i have TNT25 in mind, will take a TD of that too and ll arrive at a conclusion.

                About me:
I'm 5'10", 90kilos (fat boy). Been riding Discover 135DTSi for past 7 years and before that dad's bajaj chetak.!.

So after reading Vishwa's post I suddenly remembered that Bangalore & Chennai have started getting the accessories which include the rear frame. And then I remembered that it has some sort of rudimentary backrest built in. So I dug out the pics from the WA group and sure enough, there's a bar -

The accessories showcased at the Auto Expo did not have this bar. I attached a pic on page 21 of this thread that shows the rear frame in its earlier design.

Here's a pic of another bike. This has the OEM crash guards and the rear frame, the handguards and the luggage box at the rear are jugaad.

I think this should take care of pillions sliding off the rear. If not then modifications should be easy on that bar.

These accessories have reached Bangalore and Chennai dealerships, as I am in Delhi (which has no accessories as of now) I don't know for sure but you can call up the Domlur dealer and ask.
Also, that backrest bar that you see is part of the rear frame, I think its 2K or 3K for the whole thing, wait until Mahindra release a price list.

After hearing the service commitment level I am more leaned towards buying this bike but my only concern at this point of time is bike weight and non abs.
i am not a fat guy being 5.7 and 65kg so found more easier to handle the Ktm 390 hence confused here and also 390 is having ABS.
If somebody has got good experience with both please comment.

I agree that Ktm 390 is easier to handle when it comes to weight. However Ktm have many flaws, Made of Plastic (Not reliable) parts will easily break even if it dropped when the side stand is not properly engaged. KTM engines will make you to rev it harder and harder and you won't enjoy the Mid range.. You will always wanted to ride above 90+

And since there is no heat deflector all the radiator heat will be felt on your legs.

Where else in Mojo everything is reverse. Made of Metal and Hard Plastics Dropped it and none broken a fellow rider dropped it at 80Kmph+ during test ride and the bike took few dents however it was in ride able state . You will enjoy the mid range ride and also it has heat deflector you will feel heat only in ur foot if you are wearing sandal or flipflops.

Bike Looks heavy on papers but easier to handle when you get used to it.

So finally booked white colour in Mumbai with S.M Auto , Prices are about to go up due to the increase in Maharashtra government road taxes. Right now OTR is Rs 1,94,904/- Any modifications anyone has done, not to the engine, but something to enhance the look of the bike or make it more comfortable for long distance.?

Also, I need to buy new riding gear, looking out for the cheapest riding jacket for the start.
Does anyone know any good jackets available in Mumbai?
Is there any Mumbai Whats app group for Mojo Owners?
