Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Guys anyone in this forum if they feel they are facing issues with the engine and the bike has diffects manufacturing / service issues. I would like to create a video and posts on YouTube that will have your personal message about issues you faced with hornet. Each one can be 2-3 min long and I'll combine them and upload it . Just use ur front selfie camera take a video of you and bike and send it across . We can voice out our concerns this way and maybe get some attention from Honda on this issue. Let me know ur thoughts. Any language you are comfortable with it need not be English only.

I'm also going to my Hometown and will do my 3rd service 3 months before scheduled date.
I agree to your comment. Previous to this i owned pulsar 150,2006 model year. The product was so bad that i use to service it once in 3 months and change its clutch plate, carb cleaning and what not, still it had issues of vibrations, handling and mileage to name few. Those were terrible 5 years of my biking experience. So usually its a faulty product/ batch not product line.
Coming to point, Recently completed my 2nd service. My mileage had gone down from 58 to 48 something ( rough figures ) so i asked ASC to check for it. After service i have noticed the pick up has decreased but rest is fine. I use liqui moly speed tech benzine for alternate tank fill ( 500 Rs/ Bharat petrol pump, 50 ml per fill). This product has given me ultra smooth acceleration and clean sound.
Also regarding gear shifts, The bike goes neutral on single tap form second even when in speed (~35-65 km/hr mostly). I have tap twice or little hard to go to 1st. is this common in honda? or is there any problem. My friend has Yamaha FZ his bike neutrals only at slow speed (~10 km/hr or less). I really find it annoying in Bangalore traffic.
I really want to change my head light a soon as warranty finishes, any suggestions on this. Also where in Bangalore i can put wrap/ decals (any professionals ) on my bike.
After servicing i realized the service leaf has service checks behind it. Can any one post photo of the second service checks ?. I'm unaware what has been done to bike.

As far as neautal is concerned there is no problem in my bike.It is not about the speed,it actually depend on pressure applied to gear lever. I'm quite used to it and it rarely goes to neutral in running condition.

The right/proper way to remove the trim clip is to just push the inner circular(concentric) part. Inner part will go inside and the trim clip can be easily pulled out. Very easy. New trim clip costs Rs. 116.00 per unit.Originally posted by Suddy View PostI broke them 😫

What the...? How'd you get one??? ASC said they don't have these stuffs when I went and asked!Originally posted by Anupam Das View PostThe right/proper way to remove the trim clip is to just push the inner circular(concentric) part. And it's costlier than a clutch lever!!!

I got it from ASC named Vinayak Honda at Guwahati. Now go through the photographs at different steps posted by me and you can easily remove the trim clip(s). Honda is not customer friendly(well known fact) and cheating customers by charging Rs. 116 for a Rs.10(max.) product. Try at different ASCs/parts dealers and share your experience at this forum.Originally posted by Suddy View PostWhat the...? How'd you get one??? Holy cow man!Originally posted by Abhik1 View PostWell well well ... I have been through all the problems in the last two months . You can see some of my frustration coming out in my videos . https://youtu.be/ALjWfcGe8hg
Even I couldn't solve the vibe issues. So I simply bought a pair of gloves instead to stop my hands going numb. The way they just can't see the fault with this bike! And there was the rusting too. In several places. I was given an explanation there as to what rusting was actually. So that was very exciting. I've only studied the chemistry behind this, I didn't actually know what rusting was till then. It's really interesting to see that they've changed so much for you.
I agree with you totally man. Enough of calling this bike great and shit and all.... The question that keeps popping up time and again is if it's worth every dime we paid...?
