Whether the KTM knuckle guard fits apache 200? Those are really good ones? What are other knuckle guards you considered before trying this?

Have you tried KTM LED blinkers?
Some tinkering is required to get the As200 visor to fit. Like the screw holes on the visor are not a match and so three additional ones will need to be drilled. Apart from that , I just needed two strips of metal to mount it. Takes about 15 mins. I had posted photos of the installation previously on the thread.

As for the knuckle guards, getting them on was bit of a pain as there is absolutely no space at all on the clipon handle bars to mount anything. I have not tried the KTM ones and found a pair on Amazon which I got installed by my mechanic as clamps had to be made to mount the knuckle guards. I can share photos if required.

To the truth ,TVS TRU 4 is a worst one !!
I am using currently at 10K Kms ...the oil level gets reduces drastically in long rides. Voiding warranty is a gimmick ! (We can claim if and so anything happens)

If you're planning to tour /ride long distances then you should change the stock oil.

I'm gonna try Mobil 1 / MOTUL after a long research !!! As they're trustable ones.

Any other visors which are direct fit ? Apache's visor is a smaller one!!! Planning to replace it.

            Hi,

I'm not planning on any long ride as of now. I do have small trip planned though, around 400 kms both way. I doubt it's even considered long ride, so I'm guessing tvs oil will suffice. Although I'm planning to switch to 7100 for the next oil change. Please do review Mobil1 oil once you use it.

Good decision ! I will definitely review it but I hope so it'll take time . As I've ridden only a 1000+ Kms since the last service.

For the time being, TVS oil is just enough. During my 1000 km trip it was sufficient.
I drove 500 km in 6 hours with just 3 stops, still at the end of the trip, engine wasn't too hot.
But the only lagging part is the performance. The bike struggles even to touch 110kmph.
That was really shameful when 150cc hornet and fz over take you in highways.
To get the true potential out of the engine, you need better oil like motul.
But for the time being, untill 10K kms, TVS is sufficient.

Does any one know Shell engine oil for Apache 200? For my previous bike I used Shell engine oils, it was very good and trusted brand for me.
Does any good one for Apache 200 from Shell?

I have seen some Apache riders on YouTube who swear by the Shell Advance 4T Ultra 10W-40 which is a fully Synthetic oil.
They say that the oil retains viscosity until 4000 to 4500km on an Air-cooled motorcycle and until 4450 to 5000kms on a Liquid cooled one.
It's works for daily commuting in heavy traffic and also medium to heavy touring.
It retails for around ₹778 on Flipkart and Amazon, but you should check for price with a dealer near you.

Some alternatives are the Mobil1 Racing 4T 10W40 and Motul 7100.

But I have not faced any drop in engine oil level with TVS tru4 synthetic for 4000kms. There is no change in viscosity also till 3500kms. I used to check engine oil level every 1000kms.

Currently I am sticking to stock TVS FS TRU 4 OIL with ODO reading as 10,000+ KMS .

I need to change the oil . As you all been familiar to this , suggest me a good one .
I'm confused about different brands and types !!

It would be helpful to many ,if this topic is discussed. Kindly mention the oil drain interval and the name .

                        Thanks,

I paid 680 for Super synthetic engine oil by TVS for 2004V 2.0 during 1st service and I have to top up engine oil only on 2nd service for 220/-.

This may a bit late. I've found a guy who has installed the slipper clutch of the 200 4v in his 180. He says that it is a direct fit and the bike is now much more fun to ride.

I'm seeing many guys fitting adjustable back-lit clutches on many bikes in Chennai.
Have any of you noted this? Any idea how this feels or is there difference in handling?

Came across these lines while flipping pages in owner’s manual.
Please suggest the other way to lube the drive chain.
