Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
As I said it's a personal choice. No comments! 🙂Originally posted by deepDmnr View PostThis is a no brainer. ABS is the vfm usp here. It's just a matter of time before you will need it on Indian roads. Gear you can get later but not after market ABS. Just my 2 cents.
However what you say is correct. 👍🏼Ride Safe!

What do u mean by humming noise?Originally posted by sunilukn View Post1st service update >>
Dropped bike for service around 9:30AM @ KVR Bajaj. Had done around 525KLM..
"i wonder D400 is really a premium bike from bajaj" i din find any dedicated service adviser. Anyways one service adviser came and took details for taking bike for service. He said estimated cost of service would be around 1,600/ and i would get bike in two hours. I left service center and i guess by 12:50 i got call from service center to collect bike and cost of service is 1,225/ I took bike by evening, din like the way bike was serviced. Bike was not cleaned properly, when n 1st gear "neutral" ligt come's up some time, gear shift wasn't feeling smooth.
Well i had one issue or i don't know if its issue: there is a humming sound when bike is at steady speed or in ideal condition, when clutch is engaged sound goes (checked with service adviser, he said its coz of slipper clutch. Well in that case itS@#** Bajaj should work on it) Any D400 users felt this "humming" sound ???
Lets see how things goes in coming day's
Ride safe.
Is it audible only when the vehicle is moving or even stand still?
If in motion, the wrong chain slack might be a cause.
Since it is a new vehicle there are no chances for the clutch bell noise.Last edited by sman999; 02-13-2017, 11:52 PM.Ride Safe!

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
You will feel like it's a strong vibration if you are upgrading from a 150cc like I had but people will more experience of KTM's particularly 390's would feel different ✌Originally posted by n1tesh View PostDo anyone feel strong vibration post 4k rpm on lower gear?
I'm new to bikes(Still learning) so don't know whether this is normal behaviour or not.

I had the same issue, it's not gone completely. Now i go past 4000 rpm only for gear 4 and above. that's my current solution. Initially I'd asked the service center to investigate. First the service guy replaced left mirror, which helped. Then i did oil change which helped. After that during first service they tightened "nuts and bolts which helped but now the tank also vibrates. Also tightened the windscreen and number plate bracket.Originally posted by n1tesh View PostDo anyone feel strong vibration post 4k rpm on lower gear?

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hi, I have non ABS version, didn't had time to ride as I have only done 65km due to my personal work, I will be free end of this week then I will post my review, as for the brake, rear brake is much responsive then front.Originally posted by sman999 View PostWhy is no one coming up with a Non-ABS version review when the vehicles are available in the market now? How many Non-ABS owners here?
Now that she(CBR) is gone, im very eager to book the Non-ABS Dominar 400 by wednesday. Any updates & pointers will be helpful.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
This is for every one facing vibration issue in their D400 and feel there are too many vibes.
Brothers and fellow riders there exists a very popular 350cc single bike which has real vibrations and refuse to go beyond 80kmph and vibes in this very popular 350 are such , that many would not take it above 70kmph. If you guys really wants to know engine vibrations do ask someone who rode this 350cc bike (i had two of them at different point in time). Vibrations in D400 is almost non existent to me. And d400 engine is a big single so there has to be some vibes and i am sure these vibes would reduce with usage and with use to better engine oil.
Most single pots bike have vibrations at some rpm , so dont worry give the bike some time it will sort out or the rider would get use to it.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hi,
Back with a question again.
Turns out the sound that was freaking me out was the chain making a slight creaking noise. Like a loose floorboard. Is this something I should be freaking about?
PS : I had taken the bike for a wash on Saturday, the day after the delivery because my Friday night ride put a lot of dust on it.
