On further inspection I found that in amazon it is advertised as filter for bikes less than 150cc. On further searching I found another filter, BMC FMSA50-66 which is advertised as for bikes above 150cc. Does buying this one increase my bikes performance ? I thought of going to back to stock but I am in love with the new engine sound.

my current filter: https://www.amazon.in/BMC-Replacemen...9457708&sr=1-1
the larger one:https://www.amazon.in/dp/B00TIA2NE4?...71271_52946411
Remove that filter and use the stock one asap , that thing is not made for this bike i have mentioned this already here.
One throttle body has already been spoiled due to this filter. Stock is the best setup for Dominar. zma0101 can put more light on this as he has used it and removed it in short span of time.
To use after market filter and exhaust we need to tweak the ecu map to cope with the new changes. I guess on bmc engine would run lean as there is more air in the air fuel ratio and thus it runs hotter then usual.

Rust has started to appear on my chasis, on the underside of the handlebar T clamp assembly where some paint has fallen off. I thought the frame is made of an alloy, but the handlebar section seems to be made of steel. Rusted rivets on teh footpegs also.

I have heard of a product ACF 50 which is a corrosion inhibitor, but i dont think this is easily available here. Any other recommendations? I will be coating the entire underside of the chasis with this.

Could only be the rain water evaporation , but still keep an eye on it in normal riding conditions. If there is still smoke coming from inside the exhaust do get it checked.

Use wd40 to remove and prevent the rust and apply black enamel paint to further prevent from the rust. And do post a pic of the rusted part. If possible show it to ur local svc and see what is their take on it.

• Note the bike was just clocked 1 km in odo when i took delivery. Bike was not registered yet. Bike feels great with little vibes in 4-5 rpm. Over all experience is good. But only concern is that white burnt smelling smoke from exhaust and radiator when i let the bike to run in idlr for 3 4 mins..

Hello xbhpians,. Thank you all senior domi owners who posted their ride experience that made me trust dominar 400 performance and quality in long run. My bike got delivered today. Hopefully it will be great as it should be. Special thanks to power drift sagar's dominar 400 review that lit my interest in this beast..

jagaddjag congrats dear. And do not worry burning smell on new engine is normal as the seals take time to set in. And rhe smoke could only be the rain water evaporation as i said earlier. But do keep an eye for smoke next time u ride in dry weather. Also if the chain is freshly lubed then there could be smoke from under side.
Enjoy and have fun.

Hey everyone!

So first off for give me for not knowing anything about cars or bikes for that matter. Anyway I just purchased my first bajaj dominar 400 one day back. I REALY like the bike! My question is at a cold start the engine knocks for about a minute then dissapears... is that normal? BUT even after the engine warms and is at operating temp the engine has a "tapping" noise at idle and a very slight knock when clutch is released even at 1st gear and goes on when the vehicle is under a load of 2000-2300 rpm... is this normal idle symptoms for this bike? any fixes or advice would be great!

If the tik tik or tak tak is too loud and seems abnormal , then get the tappets and valve timing adjusted at your local svc. Best way to confirm is to compare the sound with another dominar. And yes cold engine does knocks but not always and it is always advisable to let the engine warm up for a minute or two before you start rolling.

Have anyone installed Hercules Flasher from dothediy.com on their Domi yet?
Wanted to know if it has any load on batteries?
It is out of stock for now and will be available this weekend (as per their reply on fb message). I am looking forward for this as it is easy to install and don't need any external switch too.
Below is the link for the flasher.

It doesn't matter what you ride. What matters is, You Ride.

After I brought bike I'm really rare to this page but this page helped me to choose Dominar. Ijs bhai addressing to each individual problem. Dominar should honor him.

Yes this can be easily installed and will not put any extra load on electricals. I have seen it on few bikes. I am using normal 30 mode flasher which comes with external switch bought it from a fellow owner and local whatsapp group member here in delhi
