Hi guys,

Is it worth buying a 2nd hand 2017 mid FZ 25 (2nd owner but clean history due to colleague selling to colleague) with near about 26000kms on odo. He may sell for 70K. Is it worth the money? I hear this bike has less resale value and discouraged from buying it. At this time, I don't want to spend too much (1.67lakhs otr in Muvattupuzha, Kochi). Kindly guide what to do? PS: The bike seems to be well maintained.

Concerns are about spares and engine life. I guess it's a V2 model.

Price is good.

FZ25 has only 2 versions, with and without ABS. all other parts are same and interchangeable so you won't face any issues with spares.

Thank you man. BTW, what is with all the videos about engine tappet noise and gasket issues? Anything on the maintenance side?

Yes, this bike makes coin ringing type noise around 5-6k rpm. nothing to worry about that's just how it's designed (noise comes from balancer gear). engine is taken from 11 year old xt250 dual sport bike so it's a tried and tested reliable engine.

just make sure to have valve clearance within spec. and you are good to go. no issues with gasket.

only thing bad about this bike is, the weak headlight imo.

One of my friend works in IOCL he says add-ons makes the fuel burn more easily and cleanly
And xtrapremium or other refined oils r just treated with these add-ons.

Guys I need some help. (NB: I had already posted this on the Pulsar NS200 forum).

I used to use GetFriday.com to buy parts for me and either have them sent to me outside India, or send them to a shipping company that would fly them outside. However, they recently said they can't do this for me.

I urgently need to purchase some parts for my Pulsar NS200 and for a Yamaha FZ 25(Even more urgent, can't find a manual anywhere in English).

Would you know of websites that allow ordering and payment online, or an errands company that can handle tasks from abroad?

Any help would be welcome. I like errands companies since some of the dealers in far flung regions only speak local dialect, not English.

Hello Guys,
Just got an FZ25 abs Mattblue the let sunday. So far, the bike is good. Had a fuel leaking issue for the first two days. Took it to the service centre, apparently the O ring at the fuel outlet from the tank was faulty [emoji28]. He replaced it with a new one and from then no leaking has occured.
Iam planning to tour a bit on this machine, Just wanted to check with the folks here about some points:
1. Planning to add the lluvia windshield to the bike, has anyone in this forum used it and does it have any effect on the dynamics(like wobble, buffeting ) of the bike at cruising speed say @100kmph. And does it redirect the air to your helmet, I have read some windshields do that where they do cut the windblast at your chest area, but then they create a buffeting effect near your helmet
2. Planning to add the KTM handguard, wanted to know if it creates any wobble at the front end given that it's not designed for bike.

My fz25 is facing a weird issue. Bike is stalling when its idle, just after 15 to 20 seconds on idle the engine gets stalled. Also some times bike gives jerk, as if the fuel presssure is low, or engine is not getting enough fuel. Only once it happened that i was at a speed of 80 kmph and while running engine stalled. I tried giving it self while running but bike won't start, after cranking 4 to 5 times bike started. I took the bike at service center the mechanic there told me that it's the problem of fuel pump. He checked the pressure but at that time pressure was fine. He just cleaned the fuel pump and injector and put it back again and told me that again if i face similar issue then i have to replace the fuel pump. And unfortunately i am still facing the issue. Though bike is not giving any jerks but bike is stalling in slow moving traffics and on idle.

My bike is just one year old, do fuel pump comes under warranty??

If I buy new fuel pump will i get warranty for the fuel pump??

I am really fedup of my bike its been one year and i have almost spend 15k on it.

and BTW do you usually ride the bike on low fuel.. as FI bikes need to have a few litres of petrol to stay healthy

Check the attached image.. this is the coverage of parts under the 5 year extended warranty.. so definitely since your bike is 1 year old and even if you don't have extended warranty.. fuel pump will come under warranty.. dont worry

Fuel pump should cover under warranty. They come very costly. My friend recently got injector changed under warranty. Issue was escalated to higher level. Thats what you need to do.

I hope your idle is set at 1500rpm.

Unleaded only.

Petrol additive (addon) clear carbon deposit from injector, throttle body, valves. Use once or twice at 10k. There is no issue in frequent use. I use system G.

Exactly what I wanted to know..as in my state there are COCO outlets or private players lika Essar, reliance,etc.
There are limited petrol pumps which are trustworthy. And more importantly they don't have those Add-ons with them also..so I will purchase online

Try car spare parts shop you will get it.

If you want system G got to ford service center. Make sure to get for petrol not diesel.

Guys, I bought a 2018 October model FZ 25. Third free service pending. I hear the the tappet sound (tick tick). For 3rd service which is in the coming week, what all things needs to be done? Do they put ECU firmware update for this bike? Also, suggest me the best engine oil as well as chain spray. How many kms before applying chain spray. Thank you all.
