Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
What do they mean by bike been outside the showroom? It is a new bike and is in company warranty, right? If it is, then rusting on a new bike is unusual. Give the svc a piece of your mind. If they still do not budge, shoot an e-mail to Yamaha India and raise a concern by calling the helpline. That should do the trick.Originally posted by ChetnGo View PostHonda Dio [2010 - 2011]

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Are there any alternative compatible front sprockets for the FZ25? Aftermarket or other bike ones?
I want to replace mine, but the Yamaha Spares in Chennai (OMR), will only sell the entire set. Anyone else, bought a front sprocket from any other Chennai showroom?

Thank you bro!Originally posted by s1d View Postbased on the adjustment markings, it looks just fine. if you have cleaned and lubed you chain every 500-1000km it will definitely last more than 20k km.
this adjustment marking is not the only thing that you check... another thing that you want to check is the condition of the sprockets.. inspect both the front and rear sprockets and see if the tooth have become sharp/curved/snapped.. the front sprocket is usually prone to more wear. sometimes just replacing the front sprocket should give you plenty more life out of the existing chain (provided it has been cleaned/lubed and maintained well.. other better to change the entire set)
i have done close to 40k on my d200.. with only the front sprocket (cost 150rs+100 labor) changed at around 28k km, the front sprocket had it teeth sharp/curved a bit.. and chain had started making a bit of noise at slow speeds.
I clean the front sprockets every 5000 kms as the SVC never does that inspite of me asking them to. Both the sprockets still have a good teeth profile and the sides are still smooth.
So I guess I could run it for a few 1000 kms more.

Completely normal. ABS light goes off after you cross 7 kmph. It is designed that way.Originally posted by ChetnGo View PostHave issues with my week old

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Ask the SVC to replace it with a new one. It doesn't matter where they kept the bike, its rusty and in the long run you will have to spend to replace it.Originally posted by ChetnGo View PostSeat cover is fine..
But for the rust I'm concerned. SVC told that it's due to bike been outside in Showroom... I check other bikes, all had same rust.
Indicator bulb replaced.

Nothing critical as such, you can go ahead. One issue that plagued the early models is the handlebar wobble issue (which my bike still has at speeds within 70-95). So, you can look out for this.
Other than that, it will be a good idea to replace the chain/sprocket, air filter, sparks, to get it to top shape.

You could try the Masseters from MRF or even Rev-Z.Originally posted by rajan_coolrock00 View PostCould anyone recommend good set of tyres for fz25?
Price?
Tell me why you recommend it. The stock tyres are too slippery.[My Motorcycles]

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi everyone very happy to inform that I have purchased fz25 ABS on 2nd OCt in Matt blue Color.
Now I have already clocked 400 kms almost.
In my state there is no COCO petrol pumps or private pumps which offers premium petrol or refined ones.
Now my question is if I use AddonP wiwill it hamper my FI engine ?
Or AddonP is recommended for FI engines or not ?

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Just use normal unleaded petrol and don't think about it too much. whole fuel system is designed for it. just make sure to not ride the bike in reserve for more than 10km because you don't want to run the fuel pump dry.Originally posted by saumyadip View PostHi everyone very happy to inform that I have purchased fz25 ABS on 2nd OCt in Matt blue Color.

Those fuel additives are pretty much waste for this kind of bikes. better to go for fuel injector cleaning at every 6-8000km. costs much less and is recommended by Yamaha as well.Fz25 2018 (ABS retrofitted)
