Those were such a fail here in punjab. Everyone reverted back to regular plates when the numbers started peeling off the 'high security' ones.
Such a shame that a front plate is mandatory on two wheelers in India :/

How good is your tire pressure? Too low will definitely cause wobble. Too tight or too loose a T stem also would mean wobble. Take your bike to a local mechanic and ask him to adjust the handlebar freeplay and mention that it's wobbling, they can do a better job sometimes. If after adjusting the T stem, you still have wobbles, it's time to check your handlebar bearings. Failed T stem bearings, would mean you'll have wobble at high speeds, which would mean you have to replace your T stem bearings.

      Keep your observations posted.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

      THE END

This has been a common problem for fz25 owners. Replace the front tyre to a larger one (110/70) and it will be gone. The basic reason behind it is a grossly incapable tyre.

          Hi team,

Thought of sharing details about most discussed topic in the forum “Mileage”.

          General details:

          Model : 2019_ABS_Matte black
          Ownership duration : 77 days
          Odo reading : 5338 kms
          Tyre pressure : 25/29-cold & 26/30-hot
Fuel : Indian Oil – Normal petrol
Mileage check : Tank fill to fill method
Modification : No mods, except additional Horn.

          Mileage details:

Highest (49.1 kmpl) – Extracted maximum during running in period by maintaining the speed between 40-60 kmph and shifting RPM sits below 4K. Also while commuting to work will maintain same behaviour as the route has 30% city and 70% highway.

Lowest (31.7 kmpl) – Got the worst during the combination of highway run maintained 110+ kmph and intense uphill-off roading which requires 1st & 2nd mostly.

Average (41.1 kmpl) – With above mentioned combination average was justified.

Hope above details are at par all of the users and will clear the myth for few. Also find the attached photo for graphical and detailed info.

Had the T.Stem loosened a bit now the problem is that the wobbling occurs while slowing down post 90km/hr.

But a friend of mine nor does his friend who or riding on stock tires do experience the problem.. I reckon the problem is with the T.Stem..

I always keep the reg number on mudguard too irrespective of number plate or not.
In this case, kids in at my place managed to break the number plate and no one is aware of replacement HSRP plates.

It is exactly illegal, but cops did not bother to stop any time. Given a change i will always keep the number plate.

First off, check if it's oil leak or polish stain. Sometimes, the polishes can leave a stain like that once the engine heats up, which would seem like a oil leak. But, it's best to get it checked at your SVC. A new bike shouldn't leak any oil.

                        Cheers!

Regarding Airfilter I bought it from the nearby Spare Parts shop and not in Yamaha authorized center. maybe they have cheated me.

I have serviced my caliper in nearby Mechanic shop as i did a offroad riding for couple of day and it was really muddy. he did not replace any Oring or any seal. Just cleaned it and fixed it. Also got my Rear disc pad changed for 399 bought from amazon and service centre quoted more than 800. and i really dont see any difference in OEM and aftermarket Braks and i also feel the after market braks durability is good compared to yamaha's
Please confirm if the RTR 160 belly pan is a direct fit. Is it the newer edition rtr, the 160 4v or the older one.

Regarding the rear brake pads, did u buy the nikavi brake pads available on amazon

definitely an oil leak. would require a new o ring on the oil filter housing. nothing major, get it fixed at the svc.
these things can happen, just a gasket or o ring failure due to various reasons.. don't worry much. you could wipe it off and observe for a couple of days to see if it continues to weep out oil.. sometimes it doesn't.
but for a peace of mind have the oil filter housing o ring replaced and apply some oil on it before installing it.

                                Hi guys,

Brought this bike yesterday. Matt Blue colour. It is great so far.

                                I have few questions:

                                1. I feel the gear shifting feels bit tight. Is this normal for new bike? This is my first new bike. The current bike (Pulsar 180 which is now 15 years old) I got it as 2nd hand. So I'm not sure if the gear shifting will be normally be tight on new bikes.

                                2. The dealer said that since this bike is BSIV, I should not turn off the engine not just by the engine kill switch, but even turn it off with key completely. This is understand when you are parking the bike for a moment. But the dealer said I should be doing this even in traffic signal else the battery will deplete quickly. It was cumbersome to turn off the bike with key and then turn back on when the signal goes green. Advise?
