Kushal summed it up pretty nicely. You can also try to tighten the rear shock which would compress the rear making the bike squat a little. But at 5'3 it should be hard at certain conditions especially with two up. You'll need a stronger leg and a thicker soled boot to compensate for this.Originally posted by sagardesai View PostAny one with height of approx 5'3 owning D390? If yes then is he/she facing any difficulty like tip toeing or something like that?
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi guys,
Got the delivery few days ago. It is too powerful for city rides but very stable. I never rode such a powerful bike before, I have Rx135 5 speed for almost 15 years (from college days) and was very happy with it. First look and one test ride on 2017 390 duke was more than enough for me to buy it. Looking forward to touring on this.
I have one query which is originally planted in my head by one of my colleagues that how much annual maintenance be? First figure came to my mind was 15Kish including metz and then after 2 minutes I thought may be even more than 20K. Can any one who maintained this beast before suggest some realistic annual maintenance cost?
Thanks,

General free service would cost you 2k and paid service will be around 2.5k. I guess interval is 6 months or 6k kms whichever earlier.Originally posted by nikeduke View PostHi guys,

Thats how ktm makes money sell their motorcycle at cheaper rate than competitors and have frequent service intervals at lower miles.. Service intervals are long enough and best compared to any other bike in market which makes it easy on your pocket.Originally posted by Javed Basheer View PostThats how ktm makes money sell their motorcycle at cheaper rate than competitors and have frequent service intervals at lower miles.. Smart

Not to forget, KTM increased their service interval from 4000/5000(if not wrong) kms to 7500 kms from 2016.
Even bajaj bike intervals are short.. and lets not forget KTM spare parts are very very cheap compared to any premium bikes in india.
This long service interval thing is common with any European brands except this benelli..
Take Triumph or ducati .. their service intervals are at 7500 kms to 10000 kms..Last edited by srisathiyan89; 06-09-2017, 06:42 PM.

Guess you are wrong here. R3, ninja 300, tnt 300 all are way above duke 390 in terms of kms & cost. Highest being ninja & tnt i bet.Originally posted by Javed Basheer View PostThats how ktm makes money sell their motorcycle at cheaper rate than competitors and have frequent service intervals at lower miles.. Also the logic is very simple as to why they are able to sell cheaper... dukes are manufactured in india. The others are ckd's.Originally posted by Javed Basheer View PostThats how ktm makes money sell their motorcycle at cheaper rate than competitors and have frequent service intervals at lower miles.. nope, KTM service is 7500 KMs, the "competitors" like Kawa, Yamaha service is at 5000 KMs...Originally posted by Javed Basheer View PostThats how ktm makes money sell their motorcycle at cheaper rate than competitors and have frequent service intervals at lower miles.. Smart

so it's a win-win for the users, cheaper motorcycle, cheaper parts, 50% longer service schedule than others...
what more could you ask for????
