Bluetooth issue - I own a OnePlus 3T. Although it connects to the bike, the tft doesn't display the number. That I can deal with. What's sad is the Bluetooth audio is not routed to my sena Bluetooth headset in my helmet. When I try to connect both devices to my phone, one gets disconnected.
But with an iPhone, the ktm and the sena connect together and when you answer a call, the audio is routed to the Bluetooth.
It's just weird that they wouldn't consider android to work on the same lines.

When I took delivery, I noticed that the time and date would reset to the default 12:00/ 01.01.2016. Initially thinking its just a goof up at the time of delivery, I set it to the current time and let it be. But then, the next time I switched on the bike, the date and time again defaulted to 12:00/ 2016. This happened a few times and then I encountered a bug in the software.

The Duke 250 display "CAN FAILURE" when on low fuel. Why so? Need to find answers to this.

Its pretty east to diagnose the new 390's and my issue was solved in just 2 days.

I got my KTM a month back. I think it was the first in the country.. Not sure though. Anyway, finished about 2300kms. Love the bike. Have ridden the older 390 extensively. So I really appreciate a lot of things in the new bike.

But these are the issues I have faced -

1. ECU failure - Around 1700 kms, on a hot day, I got home after riding for 30 kms. As soon as I got home, the bike switched off, showed up ECU Failure. I switched off the bike and switched it back on. The warning stayed on for 5 seconds. Then the engine temperature started cooling down.. And about 20 seconds later, bike started.
This happened only once.

2. Headlight switched off - Happened yesterday for the first time. LED switched off for 2 seconds and came back on.

3. Date & Time fluctuation - I don't exactly know how to explain this. I have a video of it. Basically, the date changes randomly to 17.17.2017 and the time changes to 17.17 for about 2 seconds and goes back to the original time. This happens everytime during the ride.. And it happens every 5 to 10 min intervals.

Apart from this, I haven't faced any issues. I'm planning on a longer ride soon. I'm hoping I don't face any more issues.

An update on the issue I was facing with the TFT LCD.

They replaced the entire unit under warranty, no questions asked. Very impressed with the support they showed me. Bike is flawless now.

Btw, the LCD costs a whopping Rs 19500!!

Owners, can anyone tell me if the air from radiator fan is directed towards lower part of the bike or towards the legs of the rider. Is this bike rideable for city commuting involving 20-25km peak Bengaluru traffic?

The air is mostly directed away from the rider but i did feel a lot of heat to the left after a long ride and even the white sub frame was also quite hot. Suggest not to ride it with shorts or sandals, you will have a leg piece kebab once you reach home. Its definitely ride able in Bangalore traffic.

The bike feels fine so far. I had a D200 so this is definitely a bit heavier, but still flickable. Having paid almost twice as much as the D200 I guess I feel a bit over cautious taking corners or zipping through tight traffic, it definitely feels expensive. Have the date/time reset error on mine too but not the ECU failure yet, clocked 500kms thus far. Returned about 21-22kmpl in Bangalore start-stop traffic and about 31 on the highway, not bad overall.

Can you check something out for me? Once your date and time reset can you try entering it in the preferences menu WHILE riding and see if anything happens?

Thanks Dhanush. The reason I asked was that my RS200 is giving a very tough time during peak hour traffic. I normally take about 1.5 hours to travel 25km to my office everyday(Basaveshwaranagar to Marathalli-PTP). Hence, I have made up my mind to replace my bike. I started with Access 125 , but then FZ25 was an option suddenly as it has a relaxed engine, but no ABS. Now, I have gone up to considering Yamaha R3, Benelli 302R and Kawasaki Ninja 300. I wanted to know if Duke 390 has the same problem as my bike. I dont want to come back to square one after spending almost 3 lakh rupees. Atleast for sure, I can tell that twin cylinder engines dont heat up half as much as RS200 or Duke 390's high compression engines.

Also, I would like to know from owners if you had a test ride of the bike before buying? If yes, where?

Np! The 390 is definitely the hottest looking and cooking single cylinder around, so RS 200 to 390 is not a switch for the best w.r.t heating, but I've always found it manageable all these years. To counter this i set out early in the morning for work and leave early in the evening to minimize traffic and heating (does not work always with the schedule).

I'm not sure if any Bangalore outlets are providing test rides yet, many showrooms don't have a display bike yet but try the Indiranagar outlet, they are the primary dealers and might arrange a test ride.

Also, I would like to know from owners if you had a test ride of the bike before buying? If yes, where?
