RTR has enough power for it to be used bud, the fact is TVS engineers not used it to cut the cost and complexity.

It is there in GS 150 and R15, both are having single cylinder engines.

      • the shaft is used to cut down the vibrations? If yes, then apache sure needs one. Maybe they'll come up wid one on the next offering

        • Cut the balancer crap guys, it cannot be fitted to the engine afterwards, PERIOD.

And if you want to speculate that if TVS will be giving it in it's next bike go to the speculation thread.

            • If i'm not mistaken, our first modern 4-stroke, the ybx had a counterbalancer shaft.

According to a TVS official, TVS is working on it and will be on the coming generations....

                • The RTR even beats the 15-20 year old KB100 in terms of vibes.
The intensity of vibes at the handlebar at 5200-5400 if much more pronounced than the KB100.
In comparo my FIERO was butter smooth right from the 0 RPM till i revved the nuts off it.

                  • I became yet another victim of TVS tyres when I had a 80+kmph get-off on the highway in the early hours of today. there was a slight drizzle some 5 mins earlier, and I was beginning to lean into a long curve, which I always take at full speed full lean, when the bike just slipped away under me. With the grace of God, and thanks to my gear, I'm pretty ok with only a small bruise/rash at the right hip. The bike skidded some distance and has few broken and bend parts. Other than it also fine. I rode it back home , it was at 2AM what else could I do... hehe. And I had planned to change the tyres before the rain. No more waiting. This weekend I'm getting new tyres for ma 180, ANYTHING other than TVS!

Glad that you are fine. Wait for the 110-spec Zapper which comes fitted with the Dazzler. I think it will be out in the market, soon!!

There is a 110 zapper coming out??? wow. hmmm, it was the front tyre that betrayed me. So I'll change that and wait for the 110 Zapper to come out for the rear... phew... what a relief.. I was so worried about stock size replacement for the rear tyre...

Yes it is coming stock with the CB Dazzler.

You can go for the Zappers found on the P220s for your front tyre replacement. It's Zapper FS i think.

Yes it is Zapper FS. I am currently using that. Its quite a good tyre for the front if not brilliant.
You can only ride better tomorrow if you ride safe today.

Damn! The front gave way!!?? Must have been really scary. And it's the better of the two. It's usually the rear that gives on wet roads first. Good thing you're ok though. Sad part is this could have been avoided simply by using better tyres. Go change them already. The tubeless zapper fs off the 220 dtsi is probably the best for the front. Rear, why not go for the zapper-c from the pulsar? it's 10mm wider but a damn good all round tyre. And if you decide to downsize to 100/90 you will have a lower profile and better performance. Rear will look skinny though. With all the shortages and shit, it might be a longish wait for the dazzler's rear. At least change the front immd. Monsoon's expected to hit kerala around may 30th.

yes.. i'm changing the front tyre asap. the rear has not given me much trouble except on the road paint - so I can tolerate it till I get something that suits. But I'm not waiting much. As soon as the next salary comes I'm buying something that fits.... my looks are more important to me that the bike rear looks
