It just doesnt add up no FI no Liquid cooled engine no frame change , but 1lk + for 220cc ? P220 would easily get a better share of pie considering the price factor alone.
    @All :
Last month had given it for 6th service, as it was 15k on ODO mech said he needs to top up fork oil according to schedule and I said ok , now the problem is after this is when ever i let go off hands bike steers automatically to the left , i am sure this issue came up after service , now the mech says Fork is bent

i also agree. i even asked him that a 220 cc engine would be better off with iquid cooling atleast for the kind of performance he was saying. but he didnt have much to say about it. lets see apache 200/220 rumours have been around for some time but who knows.

i too had the problem of bike veering of in one direction when in hands free mode. fork alignment on a lathe solved it. just get a second opinion to be sure.

AFAIK,it will lead to cracking of the tyre sidewalls.
@ALL:TVS is surely going to launch revised model of RTR180 as per the news from Autocar magazine.A few body panel changes, new graphics here and there..thats all.No changes in the engine made in terms of power!

The Throttle Positioning Sensor(TPS) need to be adjusted such that the throttle spindle and the TPS lever move simultaneously or else the TPS will send incorrect signals to the TCI leading to jerks, power lag while accelerating, misfiring. The TPS is just a variable resistance which provides inputs to the TCI,the TCI to the spark plug. As the position of the TPS lever is changed, resistance across the coil changes.

You can adjust the play with the adjustment bolt on the throttle cable end.

            • Is anybody sure about the VSX == AX7 (old packing) thingie?

My bike desperately needs an oil change and I'm not able to spare time to go to Karol Bagh just for an oil coz of major project, presentations etc.. and on searching the local market, I only got VSX and the shopkeeper also didn't know anything other than "ye Shell Advance hi hai bhaiya baaki aap dekh lo"
Not able to decide whether I should get that one or not.

P.S. The print rate on it was 300 INR AFAIRemember. Also it had a paragraph printed at back saying "The synthetic technology......................."

EDIT: Just checked Shell website. It says that VSX is 2T

Yup, AX7 is the new name for Shell Advance VSX 4T. You should read 4T just above the grade (10W40) specified on the front side of the bottle.

In the current range, Advance VSX is indeed for 2-strokes. But 2T is specified on the front side of the bottle. And the bottle is of green color.

                Hope it's clear for you.

Best wishes for your projects and presentations. You sure are going to do great
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

Abe obviously everybody knows that 4T is what we should look for 4-strokers. The thing I was asking is that whether it is AX7 itself or not, and does it come for 4T also as their website shows its only 2T. Anyways, you cleared up these too Thank you and Krish for the wishes

The same issue happened with my Apache...turned out that the Silencer mounting bolt was loose...got it tightened and the noise disappeared

you should keep tightening all the nuts and bolts from time to time as the vibes from the engine cause them to loosen

                            • Hey Guys I have one silly question in my mind

Why is it that SVC or any mechanics always put the petrol knob to reserve before starting work, even though there is enough petrol??
I mean why cant they work by putting it in main position.
Is there any scientific reason for the same??
