Hope some of you can answer my question. Also, is there any other better company which we can opt for?
Diamond and DID , Both are best in business

Yup , They maybe suppliers to TVS too, go to svc ask for any chainset and see markings on chain, Diamond is engraved upon links of chain, same with DID . If not there is always outside market.

OK. Chain links are damaged and once even broke off. No wear on sprockets. At some places the chain is tight and hence there is whiplash effect when jumping on small potholes or humps. Hence I want to change the set.

And I have changed the chains twice with in 25000 KMs.

Do you redline often ? or drive with improper chain slack ? Seems like either these two , if not the above it has to be poor quality chain or no lube condition that causes accelerated wear.

I am used to quick acceleration, but I try to keep it under 7K. Most of the time I ride under 6.5K. I keep the chain lubed. I do check and tighten the chains if necessary at a mechanic's once every month.

Anyone had similar experience with TVS chains before?

Bro, chains getting damaged is due to improper tightening by the mechanics.. Whenever the slackness is being adjusted, it has to be adjusted such a way that both sides of chain are equally tight.. And if it's not, then the chain will eventually get damaged when you ride at high speeds or due to too much strain.. I too have been a victim of this and had to change the chain set twice in 30K kms.. For chain tightening always prefer service centers unless you know some good mechanic.. There are people who use same stock chain for more than 50K kms without issues..

And always prefer chain spray for lubing.. Lube every 500kms & clean every 1000 kms..

Earlier I've had an experience where the service center guys messed up the balance of my sprockets. There was wobbling and before I noticed the damage was done. Last time I went to the SVC to get some maintenance done, I felt that over charged for whatever they did. I don't know if there are any good mechanics around my area and this makes me worry for the bike.

Then it's time to find a good local mechanic.. I have found one in my area..

Now I am at a different SVC and they have asked me to wait till 4 PM so that they can source one set from another SVC. I hope they will do it right for once.

Couldn't find Diamond and DD. The shops here don't have any company which has 148 links and 14-46 teeth.

Haha, yeah! I guess I am happy with my mileage

                        [Off topic]

A dog ran into the bike today. It was just after a toll booth. I was going moderately fast, but I didn't notice the exact speed. Miraculously, I didn't fall. But the engine guard (is that the word?) on the left got bent, and my left foot / shift lever hit the dog. No major damage to the bike, or to me. I hope he didn't suffer much, either.

The bike still feels more or less the same, but is kinda sluggish. The front break squeaks more than it should. Does accidents etc. have an impact on warranty? I can take care of the bent engine guard, but is it better to take the bike to the SVC? How likely is it that there is a bending of the frame, or a front fork misalignment, or a front wheel misalignment, or something else that I can't examine/notice myself?

Additional info: The dog ran in from the left side, front. I had two fingers on the front brake lever, so impulsively I pulled some, but not enough to avoid the hit. I don't know if he hit the rear wheel or not.

Hope you are hale & hearty.
Its the leg guard that got hit. Is the bend drastic or just a fingernail away from the original position ?? My friend had an accident with an auto at 55kmph . The impact was on the left side as well. Left handlebar broke but nothing happened to leg guard. Only the paint peeled away.
I am asking this because we will get to know the impact of the collision.
If your bike feels a bit weird take it to the svc, list down your problems & make you sure you leave the the svc only after you get the satisfactory results.
Warranty is only applicable to things that go wrong on their own without any external agents.

                            Fortunately, I am okay. Thanks

The leg guard bend is not too drastic, but it is not negligible either. I'd put the bend at around 30 degrees from the original position. I am going to take a short ride tomorrow and see if anything feels out of place.

I remember reading somewhere that warranty won't be applicable if the bike is used for stunts et al. That's why I was curious to know if the warranty in general will be affected by this. I know warranty won't be applicable to damages

                              Hi All,

I own a Apache RTR 160 (New). I wanted to replace the halogen headlamps with a 55/60 W philips blue vision ultra.
Can anyone help me in removing the HL assembly of the bike as there seems to be no DIY guide to remove the HL assembly of the new Apache.

PS: Pictorial guide could be useful.

                                hi all,
this is my first ever post, i own 2014 RTR180 and 2015P220f today i was cleaning my bike and i found there is little bent on the right side of front rim, this might be because of an accident with which i met couple of weeks ago, but on the left side there is no damage at all. so my question is will i have to change the whole rim or its fine? i am attaching both pics of right and left side.
                                Your suggestions will be welcomed
