          There is a mechanical noise coming from the cylinder head area. I believe these are coming from the tappets ???

              The engine has not yet been touched. I bought the bike August last year. Till now I have been only carrying out the oil changes. I showed it to the mechanic. He said everything is fine & tappets need not be adjusted in a 6900km run bike. Its too early he said.
              The sound is something like when you put a small screw in aluminium box & shake it vigorously.

                If possible check the timing chain as well. I was also having a noise like sewing machine/mechanical sound near the upper area of the engine. I thought it to be tappet noise. I showed it to the SVC and the mechanic there said it is the timing chain noise. So, he adjusted it and now it is fine.

                    ** UPDATE **
                    Replaced the shell ax7 oil with motul 5100 15w50. Shell had done close to 1900kms in 5 months. I thought it was high time to replace it. The mechanic told me the oil could have another 400kms with ease but the vibrations were on the rise so I thought its time for the change.
                    Got the motul for 540 bucks.
                    I will update my experience with this oil in a month.

                      Is the Osram Night Racer Plus a good replacement for a stock bulb in RTR 180 non ABS?

                      Osram Night Racer Plus Headlight Bike Motorcycle Bulbs Bulb HS1 35W Single Piece | eBay

                      And wanted to ask question about spark plugs, when should one replace the spark plug or what are the symptoms that suggest to replace it? I have done 11000+ in past 8months after buying is it necessary to change it?

                        Update:
                        Got the throttle cable and clutch cable changed yesterday as a precautionary measure.
                        Front sprocket teeth have gone out of shape, so after 41k km I think its time to replace the chain sprocket set! Going to continue with the 44T rear sprocket of the rtr160.
                        Stock Clutch plates and rear brake pads still going strong!

                        After going through the fiero thread, we rtr owners will be happy to know that there is a provision to fit an oil cooler (like in the p220) built into the crankcase. So it will be plug and play for all rtrs.. will wait for the rtr 200 to be launched as it may come factory fitted with an oil cooler and hence it will be easier to install it on exisiting rtr exciting times ahead!

                        Use the search button for your headlight query. The same headlight bulb has been discussed on this thread in detail.
                        Coming to the spark plug, I change it whenever I feel there is misfiring or a popping sound from exhaust.. Which is usually around the 8-9k km mark. According to manual, the interval for spark plug replacement is 15k km.

                            Oil cooler will not improve performance, it will reduce the temperature of the hot oil circulating inside the engine. This will improve overall refinement of engine and is very usefull while touring and also in stop and go traffic where engine heats up quite a lot.

                              Great find [MENTION=63056]Abishek94[/MENTION], even I was planning to change the throttle cable & clutch cable, can you update on the cost. My bike was parked idle for about a month, today morning it started in a single kick, just some small things which makes me feel happy about my RTR 180.

                                I don't think it's suitable as is HS1 were as H4 goes with Rtr
