As per TVS Dealer Here ,TVS Has already informed TVS ASC's about the Issue with Few Batches of Apache RTR180 with Front Fork having slightly less amount of Fork Oil+ a change to a Bigger Bush(Connected to fork piston) .For ME - I have to Go Till to TVS Regional Head to Resolve this Issue.
My Advice for Future RTR 180 Owners - Take the Test Ride and If Found Front Disk Travels too Much and Makes "Thud" Noise ,It is NOT a issue of Cone Set(Steering Cone) ,But Due to the above issue I explained(Bold Part).Hope it Helps.

Hi,
I finally did my first service and run-in too
today i noticed that after 7000 rpm the engine sound is pretty irritating
What abt urs?.
And abt knocking sound after warm-up (when rpm rises) ur bike and shift that srew (On carb) clockwise till u get it on 1.25-1.5rpm (I prefer 1.25 bcoz it saves feul &and engine sound is also acceptable )
And if it doesnt work go 2 mec and re adjust air&feul intake mixture
hope it works
And btw i was thinking to change tyres and makwheel (hope i spelled right) and get a bigger one
which one do you prefer (lighter,thicker&better gripping)...

My RTR180 Makes a good Grunting Sound(I likes it!) If Taken Above 5.5K.Else ,it is Somewhat Silent.May be Running-in after 2000kms ,This Change Happens?

Another Thing during My last 200kms trip I noticed was ,This Bike is better as a City/Street Peformer.If Gone Without any break for some 100-200kms run ,Bike's Characteristics Slightly Change and Refineness will be less.So ,A 15-30 minutes break after a 100kms of travel is more of a necessity for these kind of bikes ,be it RTR or Unicorn ..(But With My Bullet Electra 4s- It was a great experience - simply goes on&on without any change in Engine Smoothenes when no breaks are taken!Wonderful it was!)Comment

How to break the needle of the tachometer of ur RTR 180???
1) In a cold morning, check the tachometer needle is in right place or not???
2) Start the bike, and warm-up the engine like hell
for 10-15 seconds...
3)Press the Engine kill Switch, and Voila U can now have the new Speedometer...
(Its gonna be 3rd speedometer for me)
DAMN, 3 IS really everywhere around me!!!

I faced a issue with speedo digi console& tachometer after 2nd Service.After Reaching Home ,and 2 hours later in the evening ,When I checked the speedo(even before key is inserted and in locked position) Digi console has that odo reading ON (just like a digital clock with weak battery renders on LCD) with right side of LCD display only seen.Bike started fine and had a ride without Speedo&tacho working
I took to a local mechanic and they "shaked" the wiring harness hoping some loose connection.But No use!
Later ,When I checked the Tip of key ,there was water.That means water entered through lock hole?
Anyways ,After 1 hour ,Suddenly Speedo console and Tacho started working with blue light again!That Means some 20kms was not noted by Odo meter
I am worried about this issue of Digi Console and Tacho giving up in instances of Water Service.Anyone else faced this issue?
PS:While the Bike was new(2-3 days old) ,I faced issue of LCD console display went off while riding the Bike which they resolved.I had faced this 2 times.Now ,Next Time Give for a Wash Service ,I'll be extra careful.I think the problem is with water entering key hole?Last edited by prakash_mvpa; 11-27-2009, 04:49 PM.Comment

Hi guys so actually wat do this pro kits do...
Is it a add on or a new model..??
In my 180 when i reach speeds of 20 in 1st gear engine seems to be unstable kind of vibration...
I feel 160s much better..??

Rats chewed up my wiring
Guys, me have problem
A rat chewed up my tail lamp and side signal wiring which runs under the seat.
He comes at night does this work and leaves in morning
nothing seems to be working I am really paranoid about this.
pls I need help
