I'm keeping 25 (front) and 30 (rear). Most of the time I ride without pillion. So, that seems ok for me.Originally posted by badbikerboy View Postis it okay if I am riding with tyre pressure 30(front) and 35(rear)psi...???
i am not facing any kind of prblm till now...
Too high a pressure will reduce the contact area with the road and will skid the bike. It is very dangerous particularly on wet surfaces.

The bikes may have some scratchs here and thr...Originally posted by outworldly maniac View PostCongrats but could you explain what you meant by that line ? .
Yes , it did happen , but only once. Self workd and kick dintOriginally posted by bala_racing View PostFriends, I've left my bike in the shed for 3 days and on the 4th day , I tried to kickstart in the morning, but it was not starting. After 3-4 attempts, I used the self-start to start it. It was fine
Is there is a problem with the kick-start? have any one experienced it?

so thats the reason for excess skiddin of front wheel...Originally posted by Puneet1 View Posti feel its too high , too high pressure will affect the braking . have you tried really hard braking with this setup , im sure even front will start to skid quite easily .
well i can manage that... actually i love to skid...

I found 26psi front & 30psi back Fine.(no pillion).it is kind of confusing as in the swing arm ,they put a sticker with psi as 28 & 32 respectively for front & rear(may be for RTR160 ?).While Owner's Manual Says 25&28 psi.Originally posted by bala_racing View PostI'm keeping 25 (front) and 30 (rear). Due for 2nd Free Service Tomorrow.@renny & others ,Anything Specific need to be told for this service ?(clocked only 2700kms).
Few Issues : I did a 200kms trip without any break last week.Riding through NH47 ,it was fine. But ,When I tried climbing Hilly MC Road(kerala) at 60-80kmph,There is this knocking sound(again!) in 1/2 or 3/4 throttle. But ,If I twist Full Throttle Knocking is not so felt.and I suspect Lean mixture.Again ,Would Like to know the Ideal Fuel Screw Settings(how many turns?).
I wanted to Remove the Mudguard; But ,it seems raining will not stop anytime soon

28 and 32 is for single rider and double riders respectively [rear tyre] . front is supposed to be 25 psi .Originally posted by prakash_mvpa View PostI found 26psi front & 30psi back Fine.(no pillion).it is kind of confusing as in the swing arm ,they put a sticker with psi as 28 & 32 respectively for front & rear(may be for RTR160 ?).While Owner's Manual Says 25&28 psi.

hi to all fellow menace ownwers
yesterday at the service station i observed a strange thing
i put my bike on main stand and engaged the first gear
the clutch was still depressed fully but the rear wheel started rotating, moreover when i revved the engine the speed of rotation of rear wheel increased, is it normal.YOUR BIKE'S KEY IS THE SMALLEST THING THAT GIVES YOU THE POWER OF "X"BHP

it is totally normal,,, when the bike is engaged with clutch pulled fully still there is some slip in clutch which transmitts a little amount of power to the rear wheel and thus it rotates..Originally posted by rio.acharya View Posthi to all fellow menace ownwers

2nd Free Service:
I left the Bike Today Morning for Second Free Service.Told About some Issues I faces like the overheating nature of this Engine(whatever they can do!) ,TIghten All Foundation Bolts ,Chain and Additionally Instead of Teflon ,I asked for Wax Polish.
Now ,While I was in the dealer Premises ,I noticed a Box they set up with Below Catalogues ,I have no Idea of the price of this Chain Spray TVS Sells(I actually use Motul Chain clean& Lube):

RTR 180 Making "THUD" Sound From Front Forks⇾
As per TVS Dealer Here ,TVS Has already informed TVS ASC's about the Issue with Few Batches of Apache RTR180 with Front Fork having slightly less amount of Fork Oil+ a change to a Bigger Bush(Connected to fork piston) .For ME - I have to Go Till to TVS Regional Head to Resolve this Issue.
My Advice for Future RTR 180 Owners - Take the Test Ride and If Found Front Disk Travels too Much and Makes "Thud" Noise ,It is NOT a issue of Cone Set(Steering Cone) ,But Due to the above issue I explained(Bold Part).Hope it Helps.
