  • I would consider motul to be fine for SBKs etc which rev past 15k rpm but overkill for small cap engines like the rtr especially when it costs 800+. even the 5100t at 450 costs more than the fully synth sprinta. just stick to sprinta if you get the old stock. i've used sprinta for over 8k kms now and didn't find any major benefits over regular oils.

Then whats the advantage of Petronas full synth over other semi synths?
You can only ride better tomorrow if you ride safe today.

no idea mate. i've seen various comments about how engine oil makes vibes disappear even though they're inherent to this short stroker, and even make the bike go faster! Guess it's just a psychological response to justify spending 800 bucks on a can of oil! It's not a bad oil though, and it's main advantage is that even though its a fully synth it's cheaper than other semis. I'm thinking since the sprinta 5000 is kinda thin when hot, maybe a 50 weight oil in sprinta would work well. dunno for sure, just wondering.

I like sprinta for the bangs per bucks, that is still for 440 it's cheap for fully synth.
And abso no ironing the vibes, smoothness in shifts, smoothness in rev whatsoever with it.

Where are you going to get it serviced at? Ashwa TVS, BSK(DG petrol bunk) is good but they will ask you to collect after 24 hours!! So, tell them that you have a ride coming up the next morning.
Well, if they say that there is a special offer on Teflon coating, go for it but make sure that the mechanic does it properly. You don't need one if it's Black. Also, ask them to show you the filter after the replacement of the same. Take out the tool kit before handing over the bike to them, else you might lose it.
I am telling you that you will be cursing the SVC for having meddled with the bike(Factory settings) after the first service. However, I advice you to have some patience and you will feel fine as the odometer reading goes North!

Nops, unless the seal is opened and kept open for a long time.

Put the bike in the main stand, open the dip stick and see if the oil is covering the scratched type mark, dip the stick again, secrew it fully then again take it out to see the mark immersed in oil...

The oil drops under hard riding, members have reported level of oil being dropped (specially in PETRONAS SPRINTA OIL), i'am running the same oil, have covered 1300kms in it, and the oil level is just the same.
