          That even TVS cannot confirm!!

They are about to launch revamped/refreshed versions of the RTR in September. Expect them to be an improvement over the current lot.

But problems like one way clutch, TCI, crankshaft, hiccups etc shows itself after a few months only. So how are we supposed to know whether they have rectified it or not before say December. I am planning to buy a bike this Dussehra and only thing keeping me away from RTR 180 are these niggling issues.

The best you can do is purchase the bike that is most recently manufactured and rest is your luck (which doesnot hits most of the times.).

There were hardly 2-3 cases reported in the thread relating to the one way clutch prob and all were taken care under warranty and after that the owners are having no probs.

So go ahead and buy the bike, and till diwali/Dussehra TVS will be out with that new "improved" RTR

But there had been numerous cases of hiccups reported and you don't want that from a flagship bike.
Moreover AFAIK the improvement will be the addition of ABS.

Yes faulty TCis are the culprits for the one-way clutch failure.

And you need to replace the clutch too as the damage might have been already done.Stress on them to replace it.
