It was only the twiesties i was talking about and the outright performance (considered corners, ghat sections, peg scrapping moments and all), cuz one cant really judge a tyre on just a blast off on straights, even the TVS tyres are really good for straight line acceleration and top speed runs, and the R15's rear was the example i took, on the soft compound department, as i was preaching on that only, and i believe it's the "softest", "stickiest" compound "Indian" tyre on sale today.Originally posted by chicane1879 View PostLast edited by rennycornelius; 09-06-2010, 10:02 PM.The Magician"

I only know how i control this bike below 55 in city. I was get addicted by its response and use to ride insane in traffic.high accleration, every time changing gear above 7k, sharp cuts wow. but i am recovering from it . its not only dangerous but also reduce engine life . Now I change gear below 4.5k rpm and maintain it below 55. Returns good mileage , more than 40km/lOriginally posted by theprinceofmayhem View Post:This bike is a f***ing drug....addictive,insane,you lose your senses and you grin from ear to ear... and you keep grinning senselessly...Try it and you will get addicted to its looks, its blue display, its growl, its handling, its pace and you will look like a happy stoned dude by the end of the ride.
In the end, I feel biking is a way to nirvana...And I've found my drug to get there....
Proud to be a RTR(Race Throttle Rider)...
But draw back at around 55 nearly 4.2 bike produce its peak vibration.
My hands is now addicted to its vibration now , i rode my friends p220 i always found something missing it dosenot produce any vibs .

My family has had a thing for TVS for some reason.Dad had an Ax-100R,then my bro got a scooty, then he bought a Fiero F2 which I inherited, then he bought a Scooty Streak for his wife and finally he bought a white Apache RTR 180 for me...Yay!
.
So basically, the adventure begins...
End of First day,6th August(booked on 3rd) 50 kms...
End of second day,250 kms done total ...(took a wrong turn somewhere
)
End of first week 650 kms and first service...
End of second week plus 1000 kms.... lit a cigar at 1000.2...
These two weeks were exams...And after the last exam, i crossed 1000 and then First Crash at 1020...
Oil in the middle of a corner is not pleasant. Was doing something like 52kmh...
According to some people, this bike may not be the fastest, may not be poser material etc etc.... To them I say :This bike is a f***ing drug....addictive,insane,you lose your senses and you grin from ear to ear... and you keep grinning senselessly...Try it and you will get addicted to its looks, its blue display, its growl, its handling, its pace and you will look like a happy stoned dude by the end of the ride.

I wasnt getting words to describe the bike..........you are insanely daring to speak out,the exact feel of a true 'Apachian'.
Hats off to u man..........

I found it at a shop in Buxibazaar.
I ll put those graphics & then post the pics.
I have to bargain a bit with him.
He quoted the price at 700/-. I ll try to bring it down to 500/-.

Hello RTR owners, one small query, whats the best tyre for RTR180 which can be used in all conditions wet, dry and even for touring it gives less issues which can fit in a budget of 8000/- for both tyres, the bike will be used to travel to office which is like 12 kms a day and whenever the mood sets go for some ripping on the highways.
Can someone advice please?

Did anyone fit IRC rubber on RTR 180?..Originally posted by chicane1879 View PostThere are only two options as per the recommended specifications:

A close biker friend suggested not to go for front fitment.Couldn't understand his gibberish talks.Any one amongst you who'd like to shed some more light on this.
.
Btw,Shrinath are you asking for 160 or 180?..I think you own the 160..If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!
