RTR is the first bike on which serious sound engineering has been undertaken to give it a sporty exhaust note without sacrificing on performance.Originally posted by myselfarvi View Posthey guys. . i have got a small question here. . It has got to do with the internal design to improve the acoustics and is not just limited to a mere increase in the diameter of the pipe.Originally posted by myselfarvi View Postwoah! tats cool . . but can u pls explain me wats been done here?? i dont get it. . basically they have increased the dia of every alternate pipe to get the thumps. . is tat wat tvs has done in the RTRs???

Hi guys,
One question. Is the bike twitchy at speeds? The whole bike looses balance when I move the handle bar ever so slightly even in low speeds. And even when taking turns, the bike always runs wide.
I think the wheels are not aligned properly (the tyre pressure seems fine) but the SC guy was insistent that nothing is wrong and I'm being too worried. He says you'll be wasting your money
Does anyone know how to check if wheels are aligned or not? Can someone suggest a good place to do it in Delhi?
Thanks.कृपया यहाँ पर ज्ञान न बांटे

The bike is NOT "twitchy", the only time it looses it's line is on the highway when you're doing 80kmph and a lorry,semi,18 wheeler or a bus blows past you at 100-110kmph.Originally posted by social View PostHi guys,

Bike running wide is a riders fault, as you're overshooting a turn.
you may be running a tight handlebar setting that's causing this.
If wheels were not alighned properly you could have felt it the moment you rode the bike even for 100mtrs, it will dance in a straight line. The Magician"

The SC guy did feel that the front wheels needs slight re-alignment but said that it wouldn't make much difference. Maybe my mind's playing games.Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostThe bike is NOT "twitchy", the only time it looses it's line is on the highway when you're doing 80kmph and a lorry,semi,18 wheeler or a bus blows past you at 100-110kmph.

And regarding turns, I may be entering the turn with too much speed.
And, I'll try the string method to roughly check the alignment for peace of mind.

@ sambit - u want a brand new tvs tire????? wow., and fyi tires aren't covered under warranty....
@ mpasanthosh - how much kms have u covered., i have installed k&n n all i can say is positive stuff n no negatives., mileage doesn't drop much... less vibration., awesome pick up and speed., bike literally flies., pops every time you leave the clutch..., SOUNDS FLICKING AWESOME........ can say its like a superbike's moan.,
you will not be having any warranty on your bike once you install this., i remove it n put the stock filters n give for service to keep my warranty valid.,
if u r installing filters please remove the complete stock air filter box from bike., do not hamper with the air filter n install the filter inside the box., and change the carb jet.,
pics have been posted by me n another user in the previous pages., we have installed filters., but in two different ways
which place are you from???Last edited by dead_piper; 09-19-2010, 01:17 PM.
