mine is december 2010 bought, so obviously november 2010 made. i have taken it to 7000 RPM max, and trust me, minor vibs on footpegs and thats all. They are NOTHING as compared to 160 and take my word because there is a 160 in my home too.Originally posted by abhishekch View Posti never scared him .i was telling him my experience
vibs has a band near 5k and after 9k rpm
any body here who owns nov2010 lot bike i want to confirm something
i have done 160 kms in 5 days of purchase :P this is very less because my primary mode of travel is my Diesel rocket
. A strange thing i noticed is that the Pass light works even without bike being started. it works on battery only. this is very strange for me as lights are not DC in RTR.
Also i am in love with the Torque curve. I think the best part in addition to its handling. Torque is so amazingly distributed that i never feel i am riding a 180 cc bike at low speeds and gears. Havent been on high speeds so cant say, but i expect it to do wonders as i reached 110 on 160 in real quick time.
Will drop in some more points as and when they come. Taking it for teflon tomorrow

Isnt it the Chain sound , i have it too i thought chain is loose , but its not, dont know the problem but i am sure its the chain soundOriginally posted by shivank View PostOf late,I have noticed there's a karrrrr-karrrrrrrrrr(very irritating noise!) coming from god-knows-where..Whether it's the tank or fairing or handlebar but it really is pissing me off!
Which 160 ? Refresh ? EFI ? Hyper Edge ? Vibs are less in Hyper Edge too , i will always cruise @ 50-65KMPH i.e always around 5k rpm .Originally posted by kanishka007 View Postmine is december 2010 bought, so obviously november 2010 made. i have taken it to 7000 RPM max, and trust me, minor vibs on footpegs and thats all. Gonna Purchase an RTR 180
Hello Guys,
New to xBHP. Have been reading through as a guest for so long.
Booked an Apache RTR 180 White, and delivery in another 4-5 days probably.
Any advice for a newbie buying an RTR? Not even thinking of tuning to start with. Atleast till runnin period is over.

Go the Xbhp magzine......two words IT SUCKS
Hi All Apachians......
I bought Xbhp magzine while i was travelling to indore thought of checking the masala inside it. My advise to all is that dont buy it.....the contents are only about trips photographs and riders experience about how they felt while travelling to hilly areas and photography was the only concern there....It was written that 200 pages of solid biking stuf...yeakkkkkkkkk.........i found only 4-5 pages that to with only how to adjust the chain tension thats it....there was no comparison on the bikes there was no details about any performance and bike maintaince.....nothing. Morever it was looking like more of a NAT GEO nature stuff rather than a biking material.....
As compared to over drive its nothing......it is just a info i wasted Rs100 on that

Welcome to the tribe.....well go on because if u can compromise on looks a bit then this is the right machine i mean a value for money both the tyres are tubeless, discs on front and rear with unique 270mm disc and the best in class caliper assembly for brakes and overall the best pickup........i own it and proud to be a apachian...cheersOriginally posted by xYrIs View PostHello Guys,

I value your observation, but here are my thoughts:Originally posted by blazing180 View PostHi All Apachians......

If you read the aims of xbhp, as now listed on top of the page, point 2 says "Shaping motorycling as a lifestyle in India, especially on performance bikes". Those who are into performance biking do not deal with regular biking material, correct? I'm yet to see a 100cc, or even a 125cc bike owner in xbhp. Why? I feel they are more of bikers by need more than bikers by passion. We have lot of other mags which caters to a wider range.
And one more thing, if the first edition release notes itself Sunny has said that there wont be any ads or masala in the xbhp mag.... so weren't you looking for stuff that was never included?
Once again, just stating my thoughts. This is not an argument.
Peace...
