  • FS oil for RTR 180

Thanks mate, i've switched to Full Synthtic Petronas Sprinta 5000 10w40...it costs 450 rupees!
Anyway what matters is performance...lets see how it scores
After the oil change i rode it for around 10kms @ ~50kph and i found that up shifts and even shifting down have become smoother without playing with the accelerator...so hoping this FS oil would do wonders!
    Regards,
    Nikunj K

No use running the bike lean for better fuel efficiency. This bike is not meant for fuel efficiency and running leaner actually stresses the engine more. Ride below 5k and watch your mileage go up
Turning the screw anti clockwise richens the mixture?? am runing rich still the throttle response is not that good.. riding under 4k rpm gives me around 38km/l...is it ok???

Open up the spark plug and see. If there are black carbon deposits then you are running too rich. If you want, rotate the a/f screw clockwise half a turn and see if you get better result.

        And check your tyre pressure.

But 38km/l is good for this machine.

Which is the a/f screw ? the one near the throttle cable or the on below the throttle cable ?

              • Something real strange is happening. My tank's empty even when the console shows 2 bar (it can happen sometimes. But it has happened once, then twice and now is a regular feature... ). I wonder what is wrong...

OT-I had a real scare today. Was riding fast when an auto jumped out of nowwhere... Had to brake real hard and the tyres squealed like crazy (thankfully did not skid or anything. Managed to just stop the bike ... would have hit the auto if it had been stationary... thank god it was moving )
I usually ride with two fingers on the brake. It's not such a good idea. You cannot generate a lot of pressure immediately. I rode all the way back with three fingers on the brake lever (felt uncomfortable but lifesaver maybe)

                • Finally crashed my bike!

Well the inevitable happened. Crashed my bike in the parking lot

A moron of a lady, speeding in the wrong lane... Came out of nowhere... Had to panic brake and skid to avoid hitting the car.
My leg got stuck under the bike (never thought it was so heavy) Thankfully not much damage... bent leg guard, slight wobbling of front tyre and thankfully no broken bones...

Be safe buddy! Hope you and your ride are alright.

I can see and understand the excitement of a new bike. (atleast in case of an RTR, I've seen it lasts much longer ) But keep in mind that you have the tires which are not the best in the business and the disks which are a hell powerful. So, the duo proves to be deadly sometimes. A fall which left a scratch on my bike's visor(small though) and the way the front skidded had taught me to be extra careful and slightly (reasonably) less-confident about sudden putting pressure on the disk and riding accordingly.
